"My experience there was amazing! Lina Avendo was very wise and she helped me so much with my back pain. Before I went to her I couldn't pick up heavy things, or kids that I teach, but now after around 4 sessions with her I can do all those things I was struggling with. I can now lift heavy things with no pain. She was amazing and it was an overall amazing experience, everyone was so respectful. Overall 10/10 experience."

"Prior to getting therapy, I called for an estimate as I am on a high-deductible HSA plan and pay a good portion out of pocket. I was told about $160/session and sessions were typically 45 min. I went to 6 sessions, 5 of them with one PT, and the 6th session with a different PT. I received my invoice a month after the fact, and found that for the first therapist, I was charged $302/session, and her sessions were typically about 30 min. For the final session with the other therapist, it was $180 for a full 45 min. So one PT is billing close to the estimate provided and the other is billing about about 70% more for the same service (and less time). I brought this up to Ascension billing as well as the local St Vincent therapy clinic as well as the 3rd party PT provider (PT Solutions). None of them seemed to really know or understand the billing protocols, and kept passing the buck to the next person. This has been going on for weeks with no resolution. At this point, I have no recourse but just pay the amount or get sent to collections. Definitely not going back to any St. Vincents/Ascension facilities for services until they figure out how to provide transparent billing that aligns with their estimates. Edit: Per the response below, I reached out Ascension using the URL. It has now been a week, and no response or follow up."

"I will echo what a review below said, the price was not worth the service received in my opinion - this might just be a bad facility for blue cross blue shield. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but didn't resolve my problem."

"I was referred to the St. Vincent PT via the OB dept b/c of pain I'm having in my back which began early on in my pregnancy. I arrived early to fill out paperwork and rcvd an interesting one I'd never seen before regarding my insurance - the office staff called it my homework. I told them my Blue Cross Blue Shield lumps chiropractic care and PT into the same category - i thought 20 visits/year total and I'd used all those already w/ chiropractic so my insurance wasn't going to be cover anything and asked how much an apt cost w/o insurance. She said she couldn't tell me that they are all different but did know the first one is more expensive. I thought this was odd she couldn't give me an idea. My apt was ok. I spent the first half going over history with her the 2nd have she did some testing of my strength and gave me 3 core exercises to work on. I don't feel the pain (low back in groin) was addressed well except to say i have week core muscles. The biggest shocker was that the therapist was able to tell me the cost of the apts without insurance and this initial apt... $550! I was speechless. The 1 hour service I received can't even come close to being justified with a $550 bill. And if I were to schedule follow up visits I'd be looking at $250 each time. What is wrong with our insurance and medical system?"
