"Prices are ok. Lived here a year but suddenly pets are not allowed and despite being listed as an amenity twice the indoor pool remains closed even though it looks full and well maintained."
"I moved from River Pointe Townhomes and compared to that dump, Colony Bay is paradise!! And the prices are $200.00 less with a ton more amenities. And you are close to lots of stores and restaurants! The maintenance team is awesome!! Always do good, solid work! My neighbors are quite and nice. And I love having a patio!!!"
"Let's start with this. Of my $500 security deposit, I got back $155. It is disclosed up front that they will take anywhere from $80-$100 out of it for carpet cleaning. They charged $40 for cleaning.....the medicine cabinets in the bathrooms....that's right $40 to clean....medicine cabinets....that didn't need to be cleaned. They charged $15 to clean....wooden kitchen cabinets....wooden....you can't clean these, THEY'RE WOODEN? They were EMPTY and already clean....They charged to clean the toilets which no matter how clean you leave them a place is going to do that ANYWAYS. Any time you bring a request to BETSY she acts all....distraught as to why you're bringing a serious maintenance request to her. She had a vendetta against us since day 1 and it shows in the amount of refund I got back. She's rude on the phone and not understanding of anything. They will charge you for EVERYTHING and then some so that you don't get any of your security deposit back....and honestly it's just a bunch of white trash that lives here. Also they raise your rent every year and blame it on the "economic times". Save your money and move in somewhere nicer and more accommodating and respectful of you."
"I rented here cause I was coming from out of state. I had to do all the work to fill in the application, send checks, go to the postal office to certified applications, etc. Every effort was done by me. It's 2021 and this place still doesn't have online services. Well I needed the apartment, so I went ahead and did it all. The leasing agent was never nice to us. If I had the choice to rent another apartment at that time, I would've had. I came from out of state like I said. I ended moving out within months because there were too many reasons like mentioned below that just didn't make me feel comfortable at home. The smell in the hallways, no parking, bugs getting into the apartment, the apartments was so updated, etc. I have asthma and allergies, the hallways were not clean properly which triggered my asthma. The day when I moved out, the leasing agent didn't work with me. She was very rude. Betsy was very nice trying her best. I told her I had gone to the postal office to change my mailing address. She offer to borrow my the mail keys to check my mailbox. I went the day after and these two women were there and the leasing agent with short hair said I couldn't check the mailbox cause I had given up the keys already... I knew how rude she was that I left right away. I did not want to deal with her or this apartment anymore. Management please take a look at the employees you have. There's a reason why good tenants dont last!"
"I want to first off by saying that my mom and I were looking for a place to stay after a situation left her without a home. And the place I was staying only allowed her to stay three months. We looked and looked for a place and finally came upon Colony Bay and we went to see what was available. And unfortunately what we were looking at was unavailable but we found something so much better. We got a two bedroom townhouse and it’s so nice for the price and the staff is so nice. We never had any issues if we did they were minor inconveniences that they took care of quickly. I lived there for two years with my mom and then moved out with my husband. The place we moved to was horrendous so a year later we moved back here. And ironically got The same exact townhouse like I lived in with my mom but reversed. And some people are saying that the new leasing agent is rude but she was nothing but polite and kind with us. They even went as far as to accommodate us whereas no other apartment complexes would. So I would definitely recommend living here because it’s quiet and safe. And near so many shopping centers in walking distance and what I love about living here is they actually make an effort to get to know you and they work with you. The other place my husband and I lived all they cared about was our money and they never did anything unless we annoyed them. So if you ever have the chance to move here I would it’s safe it’s nice and affordable and the staff is nice."
