"I loved that it was family friendly and quiet. The maintenance staff responded to tickets quickly and thoroughly most of the time. When I lived there (April 2021-2023), they went through several property managers. The latest one is much more professional in terms of communication, and she honestly seems to care and wants to provide a good experience and well-run property. The buildings clearly needed some TLC on the outside as the roofs were in bad shape, there was rotted trim and cracked bricks, but it looked like they were starting to do all of that as I was leaving. Sometimes I felt like the front office staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. An example of this is when I tried to escalate a maintenance request that ended up being open for 12 months (fix outside lighting for safety). When attempting to escalate with the front office, I was met with the response that the office is not supposed to be involved with maintenance requests. The only option was to call corporate, but they just referred me back to the office. Another example is when a car near my building had its catalytic converter stolen. I asked the front office if they had considered putting cameras near buildings. The response was that they only have considered putting them near the trash compactor as people dump items they shouldn't. That communicated to me that resident safety is less important than the trash compactor. Overall the experience was fine, but the interactions with the front office left something to be desired."
"The rent went up 200 to 300 for every apartment last year and that's my big complaint. Maintenance staff does a great job repairing and replacing. Carpet is worn and was not new 6 years ago. Office will give you touch up paint but repaint."
"I have a love/hate relationship with this property. I love that they accept large breed dogs, it's quiet, safe, and the units are very spacious. Coming from a house, I appreciated the space. However, they nickel and dime you for every little thing. The appliances leave a lot to be desired. The refrigerator is too small for a 3 bedroom apartment. My hot water tank has been serviced multiple times. The circuit breaker trips every so often for no reason and you wake up with no hot water. Also, the air condition had to be serviced at least 5 times over the course of the year. Not good when it's 92 degrees outside. Then suddenly we have a 100 dollar rental increase this coming year. Oh, and don't forget you have to rent your washer and dryer. That went up too from 55-70 bucks a month! No one even services the thing. It's not like we get a newer model. You just pay more for the same basic washer and dryer. Not to mention the units are BASIC. No granite, no backsplash, no fancy lighting. You are paying for the space and the location, not the frills. Most importantly management has changed. Our lease renewal was 90 days out and we began receiving renewal letters (even though you actually have a 60 day window to give your notice). The early bird rate was set to expire on May 31. The office was closed May 30 for Memorial Day. Suddenly the morning of May 31st, we get an email with a slightly higher rate even though the day wasn't even over. I went into the office that afternoon with the intent of renewing the lease except I was told that they would not honor the original rate that expired on May 31st but I would have to renew at the higher rate emailed to me that morning. Yes, that sounds stupid. If something is due on a date you typically have until the end of business or even midnight to still take advantage of that rate. You would not email someone a new rate that morning and say the other is expired even though the day is not over. Fast forward a few days later. Another amazing email, this time titled "POOP WARNING!" There is a picture of dog poop on the sidewalk and the caption : "WARNING...I DON'T KNOW WHO DID THIS BUT I WILL FIND YOU AND FINE YOU!!" Clever headline but super inappropriate. This place is not cheap. All in all we pay around 1500 a month. I have called and emailed corporate multiple times and no response. I don't want to move because who wants to in this market? It's time consuming and frankly I just don't feel like it. But if need be, I will. Think twice before moving here. It's not bad but it's not great either. In my opinion-- you could do better."
"I loved the management (Hannah and Ariel) a lot which I wish I could give 5 stars because of them! However, these apartments were just purchased by new management maybe two weeks ago and I already dislike them. Hannah and Ariel from JC Hart were amazing, helpful and just went that extra step with everything! The new management won’t even acknowledge you. A maintenance person finally assisted me after standing in the office for 10 minutes. They stopped sending emails when a package is delivered to the office so it’s harder to track down now. Great management is very hard to find, these new guys are not great. I’m glad we are now renewing our lease again. If you do plan on taking a look here, also ask if your neighbor is a smoker. If they are, you will smell it. It sleeps through the floor, baseboards and outlets. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it even though Hannah tried very hard."
"My fiance and I found this place by complete accident while apartment shopping. He and I are both from the country and absolutely hate having to move into an apartment but my new job was starting and we didn't have a place to live. They had us moved in within 3 days of sending in our application, the apartment was clean, the staff are incredibly friendly, the complex does fun things (Pizza nights, breakfast on the go, seasonal celebrations, tc.), and they're pet friendly. The neighborhood is about as safe as you can get for being so close to Indy, and for the most part the neighbors are pretty cool."
