Big Splash Adventure

"I've been coming here for 10+ years. This was my first time back in about 5 years and it has gone so far downhill. For starters, our room was a huge problem. Ladybugs crawled all over the walls and in the beds. None of the TVs in our room worked. When we called for help, workers were unhelpful and some were clearly inebriated. We had to figure all of our problems out almost on our own. The arcade was disgusting and unclean. There were also workers here who were rude and clearly intoxicated. The water park was fine. A little run down but overall well managed. Supervisors and front desk people were kind, but our overall experience was not good which is really unfortunate seeing as how amazing this place used to be. We will not be returning until major renovations are done and employees are better trained to be working here."

"First time down the bowl style water slide, when it exits into the pool I hit my right elbow and it was cut open pretty good. The poor lifeguard was about to throw up because how deep the cut was and the amount of blood. This is when I realized there were no adults that worked in the pool area. We went to the buffet and had dinner. Let me start by this, The guys working the buffet constantly was wiping up people's messes it was the cleanest part of the establishment . They kept the food coming hot and delicious . Unfortunately about an hour later the hotel had electrical issues, shutting down the pool, the rooms power including the heat .Management didn't know when power would be back on and it was a Duke energy issue. At this point we decided this hotel was not for us , we requested a refund and took the 2 hr drive back home."

"Didn't stay at the Hotel. Went to the water park with kids. Did have fun but the bottom of the main pool was really rough and ate up the bottom of our feet. The stairs going up to the seating area were really rough on the feet also. You would think since almost everyone is barefoot it would be a lot more smooth."

"Took my family here for a 2 day stay. The staff was great and my 5 kids had an amazing time. We will be staying here again as soon as possible. It was clean and the staff were exceptionally nice and more than helpful. They have a pirates suite that can accommodate 8 people comfortably. We had counter service food on the pool deck and a breakfast buffet at restaurant in the morning. Everything was great. Highly recommend staying here."

"We had a nice experience. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would say it's a solid 3. It doesn't have a shuttle down to the town and back. You have to drive down to enjoy the shuttle bus that takes you anywhere you want to go. I would still come back to enjoy French lick and this indoor water park. If you're looking for classy it's in a different location if you're interested in family fun then this is your place."
