"I’m having such a hard time in my residency now, I really enjoyed the fort but the constant smell of substance being used in the hall & coming thru my apt is sickening & causes me to b sick."
"Property staff are friendly and maintenance team has been quick to resolve issues. However I have to rate 2 stars. A family has been moved into the 1 bedroom apartment above me. Every day they make a lot of noise, the only way I can get peace when they are home is to wear headphones or ear buds. I purposely chose a small apartment when I moved in to avoid this situation. And apparently they are using their balcony as a trash receptacle. Almost weekly there's new various pieces of trash outside of my windows that falls from from the neighbors above. An open bag of Takis sat spilled on the ground in front of my window for weeks until the wind blew it away. There's also cigarette butts, broken glass, and one of their spoons. My windows below their balcony are also covered in whatever filth they washed out of their dogs kennel. These are the only two windows in my unit that can open, so this problem is difficult to ignore. I've complained to management but these problems still continue. Ultimately these apartments are too expensive for the amount of noise (thin layer between floors?) and trash I am having to deal with, so I would not recommend them. Moving a family into a 1 bedroom apartment seems like a big oversight. Update: No one has reached out to me since the property owners responded to my original review. The amount of noise I have to put up with on a nightly basis is unacceptable. I have to live with headphones on all the time when the family above me is home. The broken glass and trash I posted in the pictures is also still there. I'm convinced that some of these 5 star reviews are fake."
"Living here at the Fort Apartments has been a welcoming and pleasant experience for me. Miss Andrea and her staff are professional, understanding, and very knowledgeable concerning the care and management of the Fort community Apartments. When I moved in my apartment, it was spotless! I was so impressed how clean it was. The maintenance team are professional and quick at responding to any maintenance issues that may occur and knowledgeable at resolving your submitted maintenance request. The grounds are kept cleaned and maintained every morning. The view from my window is beautiful. if you are one for peace and quiet, the is the place for you. I love it!"
"The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: My personal experience The Good: I love the area, plenty of walking/bike trails, outside events such as the farmers market every Thursday and Fridays at the fort. It only takes 15 to 25 minutes to get to most places from here including downtown. Seems like a safe area. (I've lived here before at The Otis across the street and never had any safety concerns. I've only been at The Fort for going on 4 months) I love the tall ceilings in the apartment. The Bad: The actual apartments and amenities are a bit worn down. I think they only have one maintenance man for the whole complex instead of a team. (He still answers requests pretty fast but I think that's unfair to him). The ugly: The unit I was shown was a unit someone else was moving into but it was the floorplan I applied for so I took video and chose this complex over 2 others I had in mind with the assumption my apartment would be in the same condition as the one I toured. When I picked up my keys after work, the leasing agent took me to my apartment and there was no walk through with me. I was just given a paper to fill out with issues. I didn't do a full inspection, just kind of glanced around but I noticed that my bathroom floor had a puddle of water. I called the office to report this and came back the next day to find my bathroom floor covered with even more water. I had to submit a work order to get someone to come. The maintenance guy was super nice and apologetic. The delivery guys for my washer/dryer noted that the flooring in the hallway was shifting back and forth so I took video of that as well and reported it. It's actually starting to buckle now. Unfortunately I suffered a serious loss a day later and did not stay at my apartment for a few weeks. When I finally did my walk through I noticed the ceiling over the bedroom was missing the ceiling fan/lighting and the area where it should have been has been patched up for what appears to have been water damage. The unit I toured had a card on the bedroom carpet to acknowledge cleaning and was vacuumed. Mine did not. The living room ceiling is also missing the ceiling fan/lighting and there is some sort of cap over the area where it should have been. Lots of wear and tear on the cabinets, some of the fixtures, appliances as well as some staining. Once the new paint smell wore off I noticed a weird funky smell in my apartment. The smell is more prominent in the hallway near the bedroom and bathroom area. I now have to get a mold inspection and testing due to the smell and increase of flare-ups in my asthma and autoimmune symptoms. I do have an air purifier that I have placed in my living room and that is where I sleep usually on the couch instead of the bedroom to breathe better. I also have placed odor eliminators in every room. I don't know if this is just a first floor unit issue in every complex as I've never lived on the first floor until now but I am constantly having stand offs with spiders and beetles. Anyway, that has been my 4 month experience here at theFort apartments. Update: I added photos of SOME of the things I mentioned."
"Kim and Kristina were so nice and professional when I went to tour the apartments on 5/16/2023. I was really impressed. The property was well kept and peaceful. I applied late Tuesday night and was approve by 4/17/23. The turnaround was amazing. I went back on 4/17 and Kim and Andria didn't dissappoint. I pray my stay at the The Fort is just as amazing."
