"This apartment has beautiful brick interior, washers and dryers in each unit, and an overall friendly staff and atmosphere. However, please listen when I tell you, the walls are THIN, so thin that other peoples conversations sounds like they’re happening in the same apartment as you, even when they’re a floor below you. Additionally, idk why no other reviews mention this but this apartment is overrun with stink bugs during the winter from about October-February. I’ve found them in my bed on more than one occasion. I’ve had two different office managers during my time here and both of them said they’d send pest control but it doesn’t help. And it’s annoying to be woken up to the sound of them flying all over the apartment. I like this place, but i def want to warn others who are considering it."
"Amazing management and maintenance team, and we always felt safe here thanks to the multiple locked entries. The location is nice, quick and easy to get downtown but not really walkable unless you're fine going down Washington! I recommend getting an annual zoo pass for free parking and a nice walk over the bridge to the canal :) I cannot stress enough how thin the walls are though, something I wish I wouldn't have taken so lightly when reading reviews before we moved in. The first year was fine with quiet neighbors, but after a few moved in and out we had some very annoying people surrounding us. Entertaining at times but in the end I couldn't stand it another second. In the main room with the brick wall...it's not even muffled, it literally sounds like you're standing in the same room with each other. We also became hyper aware of how everyone else could hear us as well. It was nice living here for a spell but after two years we were more than ready to move slightly out of the city for a bigger space and less noise!"
"Cameron is an incredible manager. She spent an hour and a half on a Friday afternoon with us thoroughly explaining our lease options, ins & outs, and answering every question we could think of. Incredibly friendly, warm, genuine energy that is hard to find in a property manager! She put us right at ease as we were exploring the community and that is worth so so much when renting."
"I’ve lived at Harding Street Lofts for about a year and a half. I really enjoyed it. The main building manager is wonderful and super responsive to emails and maintenance requests. They are fair, reasonable, and accommodating. The apartment building has a ton of students, but others live there as well. The downsides are the thin walls. In addition, the tall ceilings mean that the heating bill during the winter is super high."
"Honestly, best apartment I ever lived in. I lived in this apartment for two years. One year by myself and the second year with a roommate. I lived in I think the second smallest apartment. The staff/management were always professional and nice. They always remembered my name. They fixed issues within 24 hours. I lived on the 4th floor and had no issues with dust. You get use to the train. Granted I have always lived near trains. However, my roommate never did and she told me that after a week or two, she was use to them. She now lives on her own and she says she misses the train because it relaxes her. The only issue with the apartment is in the mornings trying to leave there is a lot of traffic on Harding Street. Generally someone lets you in. Though it might take 5 to 10 mins for that to happen.. But that's something the apartment can't control. The walls are a little thin but honestly that's most apartments. The apartments are very quite and I didn't have a Lot of noise issues.. the couple next to my bedroom did fight sometimes, but that was kinda entertaining. Overall, it's a great apartment. It is on the pricey side but you get a nice safe community to live in with great management. I also got all of my security/damage deposit back. So they don't try to keep that."
