"Sophia Square is a wonderful place to live, the "vibe" is similar to a European Village. The management team is very professional, friendly and responsive to all requests. I give a big shout out to all staff that makes this apartment living feel like home. Great job!!"
"Have been a resident since last August and am very happy with my home & with the current teams commitment to excellence and improving the property - especially in regards to the elevators working full time & maintenance of the garage with high school students parking in the AM! Both are very much becoming non-issues due to the staff/maintenance teams hard work!"
"Although some of the staff is very nice, there are more cons to living here than pros. With the cost of rent, the amenities like the elevators, courtyard, pool, etc. should be in great working conditions. However, as you can see the elevators are broken on a weekly basis. I actually got stuck in the elevator for an hour!!! Even after speaking to staff and upper management there was no compensation. No gift card, rent reduction or anything. They put all the blame on their elevator company EVEN THOUGH Sophia Square is the ONE WHO OWNS THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. With all the issues I have had (getting stuck in the elevator, my dryer not working, my patio door leaking water and flooding a portion of my living room) they have not provided any leniency in my request for early move out or given any compensation to make up for their errors. Although the location is great, I would not recommend living here. I have 3 weeks left in my lease and I am counting down the days to get out of here."
"I only gave this place one star so I could leave some advice for prospective future tenants, as I am a nurse, I see this as mini public service announcement to protect the innocent. Here our my experiences with this company listed in chronological order: When I first moved in, I went to the leasing office to inquire as to how to put in a Maintenence request, Tracy the office manager informed me that this was the leasing office and she did not handle Maintenence requests, adding “the maintenance office isn’t even in this building”. My AC went out the week of the 4th of July, it took over a week to fix. I was given a $50 gift certificate to a restaurant that is also one of their tenants as ‘compensation’ for being unable to reside in my apartment for 10 days. The elevators are out of order on a weekly basis. The parking was free but difficult to find. When I approached the office manager (name as above mentioned) about paying for a parking spot, she blew me off. I lived on the north side of the building and every morning during the week, the trash service comes and empties the dumpsters for the whole building and the smell was pretty rancid. Living on the north side of the building you will smell this. Especially with no AC during the summer. My lease is up & now I have gone to Huntington Bank on 3 occasions to cash the $660 that has been returned to me as my deposit. After several conversations I am still at a loss and unsure if I will be receiving those funds or if this company makes it a practice of issue bad checks. Please have caution before signing a lease with this company."
"I’ve lived all over the world with my job, and Sophia Square is certainly up there with one of the best! From the amenities, to parking, to the neighbourhood, it truly has everything you can possibly need. The staff are outstanding, and to say they are helpful would be an understatement, whether it’s returning an email or popping in to ask a question, they always made that extra effort to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Tracy and Kristin are fantastic! I can’t say good enough things about this property!!!"
