"The best maintenance crew and office management I have ever interacted with in all my years renting in several states. They text back so quickly back when a maintenance request is submitted. They replaced our AC and Furnace completely and very quickly when they were not running efficiently. How they deal with maintenance requests was a huge factor in me resigning my lease. The little community at Maywood is quiet and very nice. I am very happy with my year here so far and looking forward to the next."
"if there was an option to give a lower than one star review know that I would. I strongly discourage anyone from living at this apartment complex. The office is difficult to reach and unhelpful when you do manage to get in touch with them, and the staff have a rude attitude as if they are doing you a favor by allowing you to stay there for free. The apartment itself is in terrible condition, with a bad smell and strange noises when you walk around. Additionally, the complex is generally very unsafe, with loud music being played at all hours and nearby apartments constantly undergoing renovations that disrupt your sleep. The complex also has a habit of inventing additional expenses and utility bills out of nowhere. In summary, this is a terrible place to live and I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for housing."
"This place was a great place to live until new company and management took over. The office staff Brandon and Tiffany are not customer friendly, they make up rules that are not in your lease. The staff is very sneaky they are not very considerate in helping people that need help with rent meaning they are not willing to work with you. They DID NOT open the pool until September, they denied residents access to laundry units in their building by locking the door. They are very petty with visitor parking passes for your guest. Nothing is being done about trash not properly being stored in dumpsters which has created rodents that they are not doing anything about. maintenance half fixes problems and you have to call them out again. Since this company and management has taken over the moving turn over rate is unbelievable. There has been residents that has lived there 10 and 12 years and have moved out or will be moving out because of management. Asked for information to reach out to the corporate office and was told by Brandon corporate does not have an email address or phone number to be reached and to reach corporate we had to go through him. Upon moving out I had a Zero balance and received a final statement saying I owe $839 for which $490 was to paint the whole apartment mind you I lived alone and there was no major damages to any of the walls except from tv mounts that only required touch up painting. I have pictures of how I left the Apartment. My niece was charged $400 for carpet cleaning of her townhouse and she only had carpet upstairs I was charged $39.99 for carpet cleaning and I had carpet downstairs as well as upstairs. They also charged me $35 for drip pans I don't even know what a drip pan is! Again they make up bogus charges to get your Money. That's why their turnover rate is so high!"
"My name is Irvin Bryant and I am a resident at the Maywood Apartments in Indianapolis. I have lived at my apartment for close to 5 years now. When I first moved in I was not required to make a deposit, but when new management came in they required me to make a $870+ deposit last year even after I had lived there for so long. I gave the deposit to Brandon. It is my understanding that Brandon is now longer there, and now they are requiring me to make another $800 deposit in order for me to renew my lease. Please help me to understand why not only after I have lived there for a certain period of time, new management comes in and requires me to pay a deposit not only once but twice. This also makes me feel that they are running my credit without my knowledge. If someone can shed some light on this situation I would appreciate it. Also, I made a report about mold in my bathroom months ago and no one has come to take care of it. Please review the attached photo."
"Horrible horrible horrible. Don't lease here. The cockroaches around the building cover any food delivered to your door. I've heard neighbors complain about mice. Our building that has over ten units, has had no hot water on 4 different occasions, over the course of 3 months. Including people with very small children during the winter months. Management will not answer the phone or return calls. I haven't spoken to a real person since the day I moved in. I don't know how they expect anyone to obtain a guest pass for cars if they don't answer the phone. Trash is everywhere outside of dumpsters and attracts all kinds of pests. If management claims I do not have a lease here like they have on other negative comments that is untrue. I have lived here since July and will not rent from Fairlawn ever again. People deserve hot water and heat during the cold moths in Indiana."
