Ivy Knoll Apartments 5707A Ivy Knoll Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46250

"As a now resident of Ivy Knoll , I took a tour of these apartments and was informed that the apartments are undergoing renovations/ remodels as residents are moving out . While standing with Sarah the property manager on the the tour of apartment I ask specifically if the units all look like the model . Sarah stayed they do, I asked specifically about appliances as the model has all black appliances. On the day of move-in , I was informed the cleaners did not come the night before and were in the unit doing the finish clean for the apartment . I was told I would be called once completed . I never received the call with the update and came back at hours, the stand-in leasing agent stated she was told I be coming at noon and not nine . As for the appliances. I have a black refrigerator, stove and microwave . My current dishwasher is a 2 different shade of ivory and vanilla and very old. The maintenance man was still in the apartment touching up somethings and I informed him of the color of the dishwasher not matching other appliances . He stated right off the bat that they don’t change them out if they are still in working order . He said he understood the model had black appliances but it’s not that way for the other units. I was livid and informed him I would be speaking with Sarah directly . He stated he would see if they could order one in and let me know by Tuesday or Wednesday .. Sarah was on vacation during my move in time . I stepped in office on the next week as she had returned from vacation. I informed Sarah I was unhappy with my move -in due to the dishwasher color being awful as it doesn’t match the rest of the kitchen. I explained to her if I had known this prior to moving in , I would have forgone and chose a different property. When you pay $1465 for rent the desire and requirements are/is matching appliances because you want the cosmetics of the apt to look good . I feel that Sarah gave the response so comfortably and that she knew this information on the tour and should have been forth coming with it . The apartment has some painting issues and didn’t receive the best ceiling finish paint job in the master bedroom . The ceiling looks like it might have had an issue at one point and been sealed , while the painter attempted to give it a finished look but didn’t cover it well. There is a built in book-case that has chipped wood that’s just been painted over and not replaced . When speaking to Sarah her response to me , matched what the maintenance man stated : Well they don’t change them out if they are actively working. I informed her that we did a tour together and she should not tell renters that everything will be the same and it’s not . I was told the unit would be full remodel brand new and it’s not . Sarah suggest I take pic of the dishwasher and she will try to get a black one for me ..See photos below of the horrible and old dishwasher for a new cabinet set . I hope any new comer here gets the truth about appliances. There are not a lot of amenities here for a small complex there is no work out room . The carpets in the buildings or hallways of the units need to be replaced they are dark older green color ."

"I love how quite and friendly the neighborhood is all together! Maintenance is hard to find at an apartment complex but there’s is very good and on top of things. They work with you and make you feel comfortable."

"Everyone here has been very friendly. It has been a very quiet clean complex and they have focused on improvements recently. We’ve been here 4 years. Rent has gone up but that is due to the current market more than anything. I’m hoping the rent rates settle and don’t go up next year. The maintenance folks have been quite responsive and made sure we've had no issues."

These apartments are so spacious, area is super convenient tons of store’s around plus restaurants! Friendly neighborhood, office staff is great as well as maintenance!"
