"If I could give this place a zero review I would. I am not even sure why I was sent a review since I have not been a PT there in over 10 months. I was working with a Dr to find the cause of my issue. I was continuing to go to all my appointments and therapies without missing any. I was scheduled to see the Drs NP who was extremely rude and disrespectful. The NP was so focused on her agenda she forgot to do the required drug screen. They must have realized the next day bc first thing in the morning they called me and stated that I must come in by 3pm that day to turn in my meds and do a drug screen. I was with my child at a school function and was unable to make it there by their deadline. I expressed this to the nurse and informed them I could be there the next morning but that day was impossible to do. I was told if I did not meet their demands I was discharged from care and blacklisted from seeing any further Drs. I received a call next morning stating that I was blacklisted and all further appts cancelled. I requested to file a complaint three times and to see my actual Dr and not the NP. The office manager stated that it is not normal protocol to blacklist a PT after one incident but the NP is the same as the Dr and she cannot override the decision and I cannot see my Dr of care. I then receive a letter stating that I was allowed to see my Dr of care up to 30 days after the ban and I needed to seek opioid addiction treatment. I called once again to request to seek my Dr of care and was denied. I asked why I was told to go to an addiction center when I never had any addiction issues or bad screenings. I was told that was the NPs choice. I asked to speak to someone else and was denied. This was the seriously the most gaslighting I have ever seen from an office. To label someone as an addict and abrubtley stop care for no reason other than not jumping when they said jump is not how you treat patients. Allowing a practitioner who is not even familiar with your case to blacklist a patient is also not ok. Go here at your own risk."
"This experience was actually good. Didn’t really know what to expect. I was getting bursa injections for the first time to help relieve some of the pain in my hips, because I couldn’t sleep. I had been waiting in the pre-op area for a while. Finally, the doctor came to talk to me, I was taken to the procedure area, prepped, and the doctor came in shortly after. She quickly and efficiently found the problem areas, injected and I was done within minutes. The whole team was awesome! Thanks Guys"
"Their south side location is great, Cora and Susan really care about their patients and try to help as much as possible. The north location however leaves a great deal to be desired. Was booked for a neck injection (which I didn’t want but was told I had to receive in order to get any pain medication at all), got there and was made to wait over 3 hours with no explanation or anything. It only got worse from there. They said my blood pressure was too high to receive the sedation we had planned on using (124/68 is not high at all), and they insisted on continuing without. I asked repeatedly if we could reschedule for a time when I could be sedated and was told no. They then strapped me to the table and went ahead with the first injection and I screamed in pain. The second nurse then called out that my blood pressure was 210/198 and I said that’s enough, get me out of here before I have a stroke! They told me I could not leave and they were going to go ahead and do the second injection on the other side. I said no you’re not going to touch me again unless it is to undo these straps keeping me tied to the table! Again, the doctor and nurse told me I was being a big baby and that I was perfectly safe. I am an EMT, I know the difference between a safe and unsafe blood pressure. They did finally let me off the table and continued to tell me I was being a baby and scaring other patients for no reason. I got dressed and told them I wouldn’t be back and that the other patients should be scared it they were thinking it was in any way safe to continue with a procedure with blood pressure in the stroke range. They tried to keep me from leaving by taking my wheelchair away from me while I was still on the gurney getting dressed and threatened me by said that I would be billed for the cost of the whole procedure if I didn’t let them take my blood pressure again. I refused and told them they could mark me down as leaving AMA, that they weren’t going to lay one finger on me again. I told them that they were going to give my personal wheelchair back or I would call the police. Later I received a letter telling me that I was fired from the practice for “failing pill counts and drug tests, as well as threatening staff”. I did no such thing, explaining what choices I would be forced to make due to their accusing isn’t a threat, I was only trying to get out of that place and back to my personal care aide (who had been made to wait in the car, not even allowed in to help me with my wheelchair or changing into a gown, as is her job) since she would have taken care of me in the event of a stroke or heart attack they were causing with their stupid shots that didn’t do anything in the first place. And I’m no wimp, I deal with dislocating my hips and shoulders every day. Obviously I haven’t been back but I thought I would post a review so that other people would be warned before going in to any kind of injection at the North Side location. That place is awful and I’m honestly surprised that they haven’t killed anyone yet. This situation occurred the end of May/beginning of June 2023 in case anyone reads this thinks I’m just upset about a recent event or something like that. I’ve since changed to a different provider for my pain management and am very pleased with the care I receive now."
