"been living here for 2 years and we have consistently had problems with mice living in the walls. we have contacted the office and they have done nothing about it. everyday we find new mice poop all over the counters, so we have to set our own traps now because redpoint doesn’t care UPDATE: nothing has been done… still"
"This is my first year living at this property. I have lived at other properties under the same ownership and company. My apartment has had consistent pest problems that the maintenance team and front office have known about for months and they allowed us to live in horrible conditions waiting for them to do something. Move in process was horrible and I had to DEEP clean my room before I felt comfortable moving in."
"I lived here for almost four full years and I would have given this community a five star but recently they had a few new stuffs who are pretty rude in replying emails or answering phones. The front desk stuff recently was a bit rude as well. I asked a simple question over the phone yesterday and once she heard I will be moving out, she changed her tone right away with an impatient tone. Honestly, you don’t have to be rude to people who are moving out. The stuff at the front desk used to be very friendly in the past four years but most recently, this person has been very impatient even with some very simple questions over the phone such as if there is any mails for me in the office. Probably recently the management team hired some rude stuffs. I don’t really appreciate that. It’s shameful to ruin your brand. If you are making money from people, it’s very basic to respect your customer. Anyway, there are some pros and cons living here: Pros: 1. The rental fee is not too bad 2. Maintenance is always very quick 3. The community is very safe (five star for this one) 4. Apartments are in general not too bad, I spent some very good time here Cons: 1. I was locked outside of my apartment MULTIPLY times in winters because the electrical door lock often times had issues during freezing weather. 2. The water bill is expensive 3. They have quarterly inspections that are very interrupting. They will give you a schedule but they never came on time. Always delayed. People walk-in my apartment directly. Not a fan of that. 4. Overcharge things. Like the carpet damage fee, they charged for almost &600. With a few scratches from my cats. It was a small carpet in the bedroom, not for the whole apartment. 5. Became unfriendly to people who are moving out. They want your money but at the same time they want you to leave ASAP. That’s ugly."
"I've lived here for a little over a year and I am very unhappy with it. I'll be living here another year due to availability and how me and my roommate were running out of time. The apartments are very spacey and pretty but the company just wants your money, they will charge you for EVERYTHING! They charge for maintenance even if it wasn't your fault, they never fixed my porch which is a safety hazard with nails coming out of it and broken wood planks (most of them are prone to break if you put too much pressure on them). You WILL need a professional cleaner for them to not charge you a cleaning fee or so it seems because I literally watched my roommate deep clean her room and vacuum the carpet yet she still got charged for it. They refuse to accept my ESA even though I have a letter from my licensed medical provider stating that he is certified as my ESA, but of course they just want me to pay their fees for having a pet. Some of the staff is nice but not very helpful, they never have a straightforward answer to my questions. Also, they are very much NOT pet friendly at all, on their community policies they say that they don't accept "aggressive" dog species and it also states that cats have to be declawed?! Which is EXTREMELY unethical and both a painful and traumatic process for them. Overall it truly seems like the apartment complex just does not care about us at all. The current staff is not humane(empathetic) at all, they pretty much just say that everything is out of their hands making it seem like there is never much they can do for you. Also, they have quarterly inspections which are VERY annoying, so if you enjoy your privacy I recommend looking elsewhere because they WILL look in your room and your bathroom every 3-4 months, and charge you for anything they deem is outside of their "standards" (which is in the contract so I know that I signed up for it but it's just annoying and most apartments don't do this). Not everything is terrible but after seeing my friend get charged $500 because she needed a few extra hours to move out I am definitely outraged, this was not something we knew about before hand, it might be in fine print somewhere in the contract but something as important as that I feel like should be talked about when move-out dates are coming up. After all my friend turned in her keys she just needed more time to get everything out of her room due to certain circumstances. As I said, the apartments themselves are nice and spacey, but getting charged for everything is not fun especially when you feel like you've done your best with cleaning and everything the way my roommate did and the way I will do once I transfer into my new unit to just get surprised by cleaning fees. Also, they are allowed to change your apartment assignment pretty much any moment, they said that they notified me and my roommate about the change but both of us checked our email and our spam folder and we did not find anything about the change. We are both Purdue students that take the bus to go to campus, so when we got our first assignment we were excited to know it was a bit closer to the bus stop, just to have our hopes crushed when we open the resident portal and see that we were placed in a unit that's much farther away from the bus stop without being notified. (we understand that they might have their reasons for moving us to a different unit, but we believe we should've gotten notified as some of us like to plan ahead when it comes to moving our Duke Energy service and changing our mailing address). I will come back to this review once I move into my new unit with updates."
"i lived here for one year and i would do it again. pros: application, leasing, move-in were all super smooth. parking was always available right outside my apartment. there was never any noise and the location is great. rent is great price for the size and style of the apartment. the earlier you lease in the year, the cheaper price you get, and the leases are per person. cons: the apartment itself did have some minor issues like paint drippings all over the floor, loose railings, patched walls, dirty vents but those things come with renting. i used maintenance twice it was quick but not very helpful. only real complaint is that the windows aren't very well insulated so any level of sun heated the apartment greatly and caused higher electricity bills. overall i would recommend renting here especially for purdue students"
