"Nice dorm, but very far away from all classes and other dining halls. Very inconvenient if you don't have any alternate mode of transportation."
"Easily the best non-honors dorms on campus. Each room is a double, with 2 rooms sharing a private bathroom. The rooms are huge and have ample closet space. Each floor is completely co-ed, so men and women's rooms are on the opposing side of the hallway. Each floor has a common room with a decent kitchen. The lobby has 3 extensive lounges. Everything is clean and up to date."
"Great residence hall. I lived here during my first year attending Purdue University. The piano is a very nice touch and I enjoyed playing it all the time, not to mention there is a great sense of community here."
"Overall, Hillenbrand is a lot nicer and more modern than other dorms but that doesn't mean it lacks problems. Front desk staff can be difficult depending on whom you talk to and students aren't allowed to use certain facilities on the first floor. Cleaning staff can be very short and rude, I have been yelled at before for simply turning lights off in the hallway. The rooms, while spacious, only have one small window. This means that if you get the wrong side of the room, you won't have sunlight on your side for a full year. Lacking sunshine made working in my room really depressing and simply living here a drag. Walls here are also paper thin, I can hear my neighbor (whom I don't share a bathroom with) take a shower or use the sink. Also, laundry facilities are the WORST in this dorm, it was common for my clothes to come out soaking wet even after two cycles on high temperature. Washing and drying your clothes here is literally a ripoff and they don't care. The place is also infested with ants. I thought Earhart was much nicer and had a much fairer price tag. Overall, I didn't enjoy my time in Hillenbrand too much."
