"I enrolled my 2 kids and they barely attend because of their call offs due to teachers absence and other reasons. For parents, avoid this daycare specially if you are working"
"My grandchildren attend and they constantly call people while at work to come pick up the children. Grand son was taken out because they don’t have the teachers they claim to have. Grand daughter was teething that came with diarrhea no fever and they still want you to pick your 6month old up and cost you your job. Grand daughter was out for a week and they called to bring her back but she had to be picked up in the middle of the day because they didnt mention the copay needed to be paid. They want your money without giving you an optimal experience. Not what we expected when we enrolled."
"My son is almost 2 years old and this is my first time putting him in childcare when I went for my tour of course it felt right but as soon as my son was enrolled I noticed it was very unorganized. I was told the first week would be free then last minute was told I had to pay due to him starting on a Tuesday director stated if he stated later in the week it would’ve been free which I don’t understand how. The first week my son wasn’t even enrolled in the system the second week is when I got access to the video camera and tadpole and I had to email customer service for my password and user it wasn’t given to me. The very first day of me watching my son I saw a teacher snatch a child up and push them I immediately called the director. She went in the classroom but the teacher remained in there. Every time I pick my son up he is wet and nose is crusty. They do not wash the kids hands as stated. The teachers do not pay attention they allow the kids to hit eachother and my son isn’t use to That. This is his first time being around kids. M m y son can not talk to me and let me know if someone hurts him I can’t watch the video all day because I do work but I will be removing my child. UPDATE : Children Of America reached out to me Ms.Carrie was amazing! She asked me questions apologized and FIXED EVERY PROBLEM I HAD. I did keep my son at this daycare and he will remain here. I literally saw changes the very next day. I am happy with the ways things changed. I can literally go to work and not watch surveillance the entire time, I do still check in from time to time though! I am extremelyyyyy more comfortable. My son also loves the director Ms.Debbie and his NEW teacher. I will recommend this daycare to everyone. No daycare is perfect but I can say they are honestly working their way up to get as close to perfection."
"This child care center is amazing! My daughter attended when she was a young toddler and it was the first time she was experiencing being away from mommy. Her teachers were great with making her feel safe and loved. She learned a lot during her time there as well. The director Rebecca is very welcoming, kind and easy to talk to. You can tell she loves her job and the kids! It's hard to find a place you trust enough to leave your child with them but I never felt worried about leaving her in the care of the teachers at COA. If I did feel uneasy at all there is also the added benefit of cameras in the classrooms and as a parent we can see what our kids are doing throughout the day."
"My son has been attending COA Lawrence for about 6 months. Since changing from his old daycare he has excelled and grown exponentially. All of the teachers are very well educated and reassuring and make sure each child gets the attention they need! They have taught my son manners, sharing, spanish, and may other educational tools that will help him go above and beyond in grade school. Outside of the classroom the school is very clean and well maintained. They have a great security system which gives me comfort! I highly recommend this school for any child looking to grow!"
