"Absolute lazy staff. Sat there waiting behind the front desk people for 20 minutes waiting to use the racket ball equipment. The short haired front desk person and lifeguard ignore my girlfriend and me until I have to walk infront of them. Then once I finally ask again she gives me an attitude about how it’s eight minutes until close and she can’t give it to me. Instead of mentioning politely the 20 minutes we waited that it was too late to use (which staff last week allowed us to use the 15 minutes before closing) she ignores us completely. Real welcoming staff you have here, might cancel my membership or stop coming here all together."
"Great place to swim and workout. This is the place to go on a Saturday and Sunday during the winter time with your kids. You can't get them out of the pool."
"We have loved our YMCA membership this year. I’ve brought my toddler almost every week to swim—The pool is excellent (space and temperature-wise) and rarely crowded on weekdays. I have enjoyed the Zumba classes offered (quite the community there) and the opportunity for childcare is so helpful. Feeling very lucky to have this facility so close to us!"
"The YMCA is a great community asset. Here are my pros & cons: Pros: * The people who work in front and answer the phones are friendly and helpful. * There are options for childcare when you work out. * There's plenty of equipment and fun classes. * They have a great summer camp for neurotypical children. * There's ample parking. Cons: * It's a little pricey; we pay $79/month * Childcare hours and availability are minimal. * Summer camp isn't suitable for the neurodivergent, which is unfortunate since autism and ADHD are rising. * The Wellness and Support Services Director hasn't responded to my emails, but it's the only way to reach him. * I wasn't able to reach the camp director, so I had to pay for an extra week of summer camp even though my son wasn't able to attend every day. Communication has been abysmal. Text messaging or setting up voicemail would be a helpful alternative to email. Most professionals get a ton of emails each day, but they always respond if they're well organized."
"Great Y for a workout! But there are a few things I would change in the gym. I would add at least one more pulldown machine, another dedicated barbell bench press, deadlift platforms for each squat rack so you could have people squatting and deadlifting at the same time, and round weight plays instead of dodecagon ones. None of these issues prevent one from having a really good weightlifting session, but they will contribute to people being able to go in and out of the weight area more efficiently."
