"I’ve attended the center on Tuesday and have submitted my documents. I have asked the agent repeatedly if I can track the application online and he said I could through myVFS account. My VFS account does not show an active application nor was I given a reference number. If you could kindly get back to me with this information would be great. Thank you"
"Extremely unprofessional office! Two times failed to get biometrics information! 4 times flight to Chicago! Cost me 1500 dollars extra! Unbelievable!!!"
"I'll preface this by saying I've gotten approved for all my Visas and have never been rejected. All experiences here have had major issues. The first time the front desk lady didn't know about COVID guidelines and refused us entry, thankfully the manager (who was great) came out and corrected her. If he didn't come out, we wouldn't have been able to get the Visa and would've been entirely out of luck. Also the first time - the fingerprint machine was broken. They didn't tell us this beforehand. So I had to fly out of Chicago and return the next week - keep in mind we're paying for all of these extra flights & hotels. VFS would never cover these costs even though it's entirely their fault. The second time - the worker incorrectly said they didn't accept applications at that time. They said I should leave and come back later, they contacted the embassy, and they corrected VFS. They were accepting applications - so I was able to apply then. It seems the staff doesn't really know what they're doing, except for upper management. And even they don't seem to know the rules & happenings of the office. I would never use VFS if there were literally any other options, but we're out of luck there. I would suggest going to a different location at the very least, although they're all pretty awful."
"I understand that the workers here are providing a necessary service and therefore have no incentive to be polite. And, to be fair, most people working there are perfectly pleasant. But one of the staff members for processing French visas (who I was told is the manager) makes the already complex process much more difficult by just being rude. Just one example of him being sour: when I was finalizing my application, he pointed out that a small piece of information (my middle name) was missing from one of the forms. I asked him if that was a problem since I would have resubmitted if necessary (this being an important document and all). Instead of simply responding yes or no, he snapped back: "Yes, that's why I'm fixing it for you right now!" He said it so angrily that I wasn't sure if I should thank him or apologize. This in itself would maybe not have bothered me but in the hour and a half past my appointment time that I spent waiting in the reception area I saw him treating other applicants with similar levels of disrespect. I wish countries wouldn’t outsource their work to private companies like VFS. The attitude was even stinkier than that of your average French bureaucrat’s….P.U.!"
