"St. Rose is a beautiful school. Our four sons attend St. Rose, and we are so thankful for the wonderful education, both academically and spiritually, that our children are receiving. Our boys love to go to school each day and we are grateful to be part of the St. Rose family. We love the Dominican Sisters that run St. Rose and feel comforted that our children are being well formed each day in their faith. We have been assured by several of the Sisters that their main goal for the children at St. Rose is that they will be in heaven one day. What greater goal could we ask for? My boys are often teaching me more about my faith and are always pushed to excel in all of their classes. St. Rose is also a lot of fun and my boys come home often talking about how much fun they had at recess or P.E. or at other exciting events such as the dress up days, holiday parties, talent show, Rose Bowl Run, and field day. Please check out this amazing school and consider giving your child the gift of a Catholic education."
"We have four children who currently attend St. Rose Academy. Our oldest is in eighth grade and started at St. Rose in 5K. We were originally planning to send our children to Vestavia schools, but after talking to a friend at another Catholic school about the differences she saw between her daughter and the neighborhood children at the public schools, we decided to tour the Catholic schools nearest our house. We fell in love with St. Rose and decided to try it for a year. Our daughter had a good first year and we decided this was the right school for our family. We decided to move closer to school, we loved it so much! There are so many difficult decisions you have to make as a parent, but we believe this is one of the best decisions we have ever made and that this firm Catholic foundation is a real gift to our children. We think that providing them with a strong moral compass early in life will lead them to happier lives as adults and of course the academic education is excellent at St. Rose Academy as well. We felt it was the total package - strong Catholic teaching and character development, rigorous academic instruction, the special graces of having the Sisters forming our children and as architecture buffs, we also just loved the beautiful buildings and history as a family home. It was a bonus that it was close to downtown and allowed us to get out of the suburbs and live wherever we wanted and not be tied to a public school district. If you are looking for a school that is different, where the faculty and staff truly love and care about your child and their academic and spiritual development, then St. Rose could be the school for you. We love being part of the St. Rose family!"
"I attended St. Rose for ten years, and it shaped me into the person I am today. The faculty and staff are all genuinely kind and caring people. Everyone strives to provide students not only with a high-quality education, but also with a Catholic point of view and a Catholic way of living. Christ is at the forefront of everything at this school. I am so grateful that I was able to attend St. Rose, and one day I hope to send my own children here."
"Sending our children to St. Rose is one of the best decisions we have ever made. Really love the framework within which they teach, as well as the rigorous curriculum. We moved our children from an area public school a couple years ago, and are so happy with the difference, in all aspects. We believe having our kids attend St. Rose will have far-reaching effects within their lives, beyond strictly the curriculum. Our children are learning a tremendous amount of material, yet they are also caring individuals who are learning to be the best they can be at all aspects of their lives, all while thinking of others. Additionally, they are learning all this within not only a strong Christian faith, but a strong Catholic faith as well. Their biblical knowledge at such young ages is astounding. Additionally, they are learning to be responsible members of society and to reach their full potential. We believe St. Rose is having, and will continue to have, a tremendous positive impact on their lives, both from a knowledge and high school preparedness standpoint as well as beyond. I cannot emphasize how pleased we are with St. Rose."
"When looking for a school, we had three goals for our children: 1) a rigorous academic program, 2) a faith-focused education, and 3) a safe social environment where children can be children. Saint Rose has all of these and more. The “more” is the Dominican Sisters. Having the sisters present at the school is a true blessing. They inspire an environment of purity, humility, respect, honesty, and love. Most of all, they provide a setting where a child’s spirituality is encouraged, nurtured, and, consequently, blossoms. The sisters bring out the best in others. No matter if you are 4, 14, or 44 years old, when you are around the sisters, you think good thoughts, you behave well, you stand up straighter, you watch your language, and you know what is expected of you. Saint Rose has changed our family’s lives in so many positive ways!"
