"Great shop. Mike is a player that knows all the brands and equipment and stays up on all the latest from every manufacturer. If he doesn't have what you want in stock, he will get it for you and he stands behind every purchase. And if you dont know what you need, he will make sure you get what is most appropriate within your budget. Same with figure skating gear. He often matches or beats online prices on everything I buy, and you have real service you cant get from an online wearhouse. What's most important is that Mike is more concerned with what you get out of hockey and the gear you buy - it's not all about the sale. I dont make a major purchase anywhere else... with the cost of goalie gear, who can afford to get stuck with something that doesn't work for you? When I bought new skates with Mike, the measurement was dead on and baking and first sharpening were free. When the skates were giving me trouble, he understood my goaltending style and the skates I bought, and worked with me - no charge - until they were just right and became the best skates I ever had. Not going to get that online. Buy local, get real service."

"This is a pretty small hockey and figure skating pro-shop, but it always a little bit of whatever you may need. As others have said, the selection can be somewhat limited, (generally in the spring/summer when old stock is running out, but manufacturers haven't released the next season's new gear), but the service here is nothing short of amazing. Mike is quite knowledgeable, and always willing to spend a few minutes talking you through gear selection. In my experience over the past year, I've seen that his goal has always been to get folks outfitted with what they need, not simply make a good sale. On many occasions I've seen him steer folks (including myself) away from the more expensive gear, and toward gear that will actually perform, fit or suit them better. With hockey gear, the ability to try things on is extremely important, and he will take the time to fit things, and make sure the gear you buy is going to work for you. If he doesn't have what you need, they'll order it in for you and let you try it on to make sure it's going to work. Being a small shop without huge volume sales, the prices can sometimes be a little higher than what you can find through the giant online retailers. That said, the service and advice keep me coming back. I much prefer to support a local shop that truly cares for it's customers, works hard to get folks exactly what they need, and is there when I need it. If you're in the Huntsville area, and in need of hockey or figure skating I highly recommend you come stop in and talk to Mike rather ordering online. In the end you'll spend less money, get exactly what you need, and ensure that local folks continue to have an alternative to the online retailers."
