"Marigold seems like a well managed apartment complex, but the cleaning department needs to step it up. When I first moved in, the apt looked clean at plain sight, but taking a closer look, I found filth on the floor, in the shower, in the cabinets, and the toilet and sinks had dried liquid marks. It also looked like they painted over the filth and stains and the filth remained under the layer of paint. Paint was already coming off of the walls. Along my stay, they actually asked ME if I wanted to clean the vacant units and they would pay me (I have no cleaning experience, how do you even clean a toilet?) All the countertops were crooked from the water damage. The studio is tiny, the kitchen doesn't even have one single drawer because there's no room. The counter is too small to actually be comfortable cooking, but I guess it matches the price. The sink is TINY. The managers seem professional, they'll text and email you about anything that happens. They'll always pick up the phone and only sometimes leave early. But I heard from former tenants that the managers are smooth talkers. The complex needs some care, like, the staircase is getting eaten by rust. The unit is nice, the walls seem to be pretty thick, or my neighbors are pretty quiet. Great water pressure. Pool always clean. They don't change the locks between tenants, which is a lease contract violation. I know this because they gave me a completely crooked key. That wasn't brand new. A lawsuit went on while I was living there, I heard from my neighbors that Marigold had been doing shady things, like illegal towing. I never had any problems myself. Maintenance is quick to fix problems, and friendly with the tenants. Bugs lived rent free for a long while. I can't tell if they went away because pest control stepped it up, or because we got a cat. The roach poop was everywhere. After living there for a bit, filth started dripping down the bathroom walls. It made me uncomfortable to use it. Water from the kitchen faucet dried in a brownish color. I noticed it in our white dish rack. Neighbors are a Russian roulette. Some are very nice and decent, some are weirdos and crackheads. I had a dude come over and ask me for a bj while I was just sitting outside my unit drinking tea. If you're female, just be careful walking around the parking lot alone. Because of the low price, you'll get a lot of disabled people, this includes mental disabilities and therefore, crazy or dangerous people. The doors are rotten on the inside. My roommate opened the door once and the "safety chain" simply came off the door frame. I lived there 2 years. I'm glad I got out of that place, but I feel like my stay could have been a lot worse. Would consider Marigold again if my income went down and I couldn't afford a better place."
"This place is not what it says. Got promised a one bedroom. Got a studio. The laundromat does not work half the time. We put in so many maintenance requests...NOTHING. ALSO...there are gnats. Toilet rocks bath and forth always has. Bathroom door was off track when we moved in, now is in pieces. My husband made another complaint Friday, to Ashley. She rudely told us to make sure the toilet was clean and they'd fix it. Our toilet always clean!!! Except for when it won't flush is hard to clean. Oh also last April when we moved in...a hyperdermic needle right outside our door. A pile of cat litter next to our door producing disgusting flies. We were told it would be cleaned up. NEVER WAS!!!"
"Applied here with Krystal, she gave me a tour, and she was very sweet and professional. The application was fairly easy. There was a little mix up due to Krystal being out, but the lady from the management company helped promptly, and Ashley was very sweet and patient with me. The apartments are pretty quiet and my unit is just the right size for me, I only wish I had more closet space. Unit was very clean when I moved in. Enjoying this place so far."
"We are helping a friend locate a nice affordable apartment. Marigold is the property that we have decided is our best option. We have looked at several of their studio units and all were very nice and would have worked, but we need a ground floor apartment. Jennifer with Marigold has been so helpful and professional. She advised me today that they will have one of those units coming open soon. I appreciate her dedication and hard work. We are looking forward to our friend becoming part of the Marigold Community."
"I lived there just over 2 years, and was pleased. Although they are not luxury apartments, they are very reasonable, all utilities were included in my rent payment, and my apartment was fully furnished. Whenever I had a work order, maintenance typically fixed it within hours, if not minutes. It was fairly quiet, and neighbors generally kept to themselves. If you're looking to save money, and are able to live in a smaller efficiency, I think it could be a good match for you."
