Silver Oak Apartments

"The apartment had roaches (the ones that are hard to get rid of), and the manager did nothing about it. After several months I had to buy professional poison myself to get rid of them. They were crawling in through the cracks in the doors, I think it was from a neighbor. They also lost my lease on which I put a deposit, and they refused to return my deposit because they lost my lease and couldn't verify I had one on the account. Terribly unprofessional, would be cautious about leasing here"

"management is AWFUL — hard to get in contact with, uncooperative, and overall just out to get your money in anyway they can! whether charging you for pets you dont have, double charging your rent or not sending security deposit back when you move out... you gotta fight them. however, the location was perfect as a UAB student. I walked to class! maintenance men were fabulous and always timely!"

"This place is awful. Arbour valley doesn't give a crap about their residents. I moved in and was not supplied with a key to my mailbox, the remote to operate the light in the bed room, and the closet light was broken as well. It took them 4 months to fix all of that, and during that time I had a leak under the sink occur. When they finally came out 4 months later and a million calls and me going up there they finally fixed the problem. 2 months later I had a leak in my bedroom where water was coming in under the foundation, it took them a month and a million phone calls for them to come out and fix it. It is now 3 months later and they have not fixed the paint yet. My dishwasher is now broken and there is a leak in the ceiling, I have called several times and they have still not come out to fix it. The roaches are awful as well. I have called about that and still no one has come out. I have to move to another state due to work and you would think with all this crap I've had to deal with I could get out of my lease early and I offered to pay another month I will not even be living here and still no one has gotten back to me. Silver oaks is poorly built, poorly maintained, and horrible managed. DO NOT LIVE HERE OR RENT FROM ARBOUR VALLEY!!!!!"
