Somerset at Madison Apartments

"I got kicked out of my apartment for "noise violations" then after they made me and my family leave (when I was 8 months pregnant) they charged us $3k for "breaking the lease". I tried to dispute the noise violations before getting kicked out of my home, but they had already sided with my downstairs neighbor. They say they had a video, but refused to show it. Do not rent here, and if you do, I suggest finding another place before they do the same to you . They will charge you for anything! If you leave a bag of trash beside the dumpster instead of in the dumpster they will charge you $100/bag. I have emails for proof! I am not the type of person to post bad reviews but I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. We always paid our rent on time, and tried to be the best tenants we could be. P.S. Make sure to check the Yelp reviews."

"While, my wife and I did not decide on staying at Somerset. We did thoroughly enjoy our tour. Dani helped us so much and was super professional helpful and all around the best tour giver in all of Madison, Huntsville area. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and give us a reasonable apartment in our budget. She does not oversell she gives you exactly what you ask for."

"Several frustrations from living here. Where to begin. The front/rear gate is truly always broken/ajar, believe the other reviews. We've had several policy changes since living here (including a mandatory DNA pet swab for your animals, not kidding), smoking banned (didn't affect me but sucked for those that did), parcel sign ups (not Amazon Locker). Rent increases while they'll remodel the front office, and exterior of the building. They'll also offer new applicants better value then current residents, confirmed with new residents. Update: The cherry on top. I left a zero balance, rent paid in full always. They sent a final bill to my email, google listed it as junk. They DID NOT call or mail me (even though I provided a forwarding address). I REACHED out to them roughly two weeks after moving out regarding any balance/deposit. Management apparently sent it to collections. I leased for two years roughly 30k in rent paid, they sent my $300 balance to collections! Corporate excuse provided. They only want your money, go elsewhere."

"My fiancé and I just moved in a few days ago and we love it so far! Dani was very helpful with everything and super nice! She made us feel very welcome and gave us a ton of information on the apartments so we had no questions about anything! The apartment is beautiful and clean and they were sure to tell us to let them know if anything doesn’t work. The community is also gorgeous; we live a few steps down from the beautiful lake and we’re loving it!!"

"My husband, son and I have here for a year and couldn't be happier. The office staff is so nice and always willing to do anything for us. They host so many events all throughout the year to show their residents appreciation. The grounds are always maintained and are beautiful. Maintenance is always helpful and get things taken care of. We love taking family walks to enjoy our neighborhood and the amenities. They have an amazing gym and grilling area which they have really made state of the art! Our location being near Huntsville airport is no issue because you can't hear the planes when you're inside. I've lived in many apartments in my life and this is by far the best. I would recommend this place to anyone."
