"I found Snakepit Customs while researching places to take our vintage car. Our barn-stored classic car needed major TLC after years of sitting and I called Damon to see if his crew wanted to tackle the job. To clarify, Snakepit Customs does *mostly* custom fabrications/car modifications/builds. Nonetheless, the shop's prior work on comparable cars (Simon Pagenaud's 68' Fastback) made me feel that they would do great work on ours. We were upfront about our budget and goals before an inspection occurred, a quote was drafted, and work began. Damon and his team did an incredible job meeting our two goals - making the car safe and roadworthy. The car was finished in a timely manner and with enough wiggle in the budget that we were able to tack on a couple of "nice to have" additions to the repairs. Throughout the entire process Damon texted us photos of the work, shared updates on parts ordered, and helped us feel the progress his shop was making. I loved that he gave us options to do authentic or after-market parts and shared what he thought would be best given our goals and car. When work was complete there were some bugs that cropped up in the first couple of weeks (the car hadn't been driven in 10+ years) and Damon didn't hesitate to step up and help with knowledge and shop visits. After a year on the road we've since taken our car back to have a heater core, water pump, and thermostat housing replaced (among some little items that worked themselves out with some driving). I'm still impressed with the shop's attention to detail, good humor (like a full-on mouse hotel in the heater core!) and timely turnaround. The work of this shop speaks for itself. Whether you have a classic car needing fine tuning or a dream car with a vision for overhaul, Snakepit Customs is the absolute best choice, hands down."
