"I had tried to get my very old slippers repaired where I live in the UK, but I couldn't get that done, because I got told they repeatedly, that they were beyond economical repair by several businesses I tried. I even told them I wasn't worried about that, because they had centimental value, so just give me a price, but that didn't happen, as I then got told they were irreparable. Thankfully a family member told me about a shoe repair shop they once visited while they were on holiday some time ago, who would try repair them, but if there was any doubt, they would die trying to repair them. This was Hakky. All that was left of my slippers were the suede uppers, outer and inner sole fell apart, and sides detached from the side uppers too, held together previously with big glugs of glue I that I tried to fix them with, but that kept falling apart. Anyhow, the work got done, they cleaned and brushed the suede like new, installed beautiful insoles and lovely tough outsole, and redesigned my slippers. Now, they are beautiful and more comfortable than the originals. Thank you so much to Dominic and his dedicated team for reviving my slippers, where nobody could, deeply appreciated. Slippers previously belonged to my father, who died many years ago, so it means the world to me to get these back - my dad would be so jealous if he saw these like new slippers now, and me wearing them. Can't recommend Hakky enough. Hey Greenwood, Indiana your lucky to have a top shoe repair shop local to you - I had to get my fixed by mail and they've travelled 1000s of miles, at least you can drive, walk or bus it to your shoe repairer."

"Do NOT have your boots repaired here! I brought these Thursday Captains in for a re-sole, and these boots are Goodyear welted, which means they can be re-stiched when applying a new sole. As you can see in the photos, they just cut the old sole off (leaving the old stitches, attached to nothing) and GLUED ON the new one. See how there's no stitches on the bottom of the sole? The ones that would be there if they'd actually re-soled them properly? I didn't realize this for a long time, and when I did, I stupidly hoped it wouldn't matter. It did! Re-soled in January, falling apart by September. Do NOT bring good boots to them for repairs, they will RUIN THEM"

"I took my leather laptop bag in to get the handle fixed. The customer service was awesome. Not only did he fix the broken handle, but he also reinforced the others so the damage is less likely to happen.
