"We had to visit DMH ER today and I want to recognize Nurse Tammi and Payton they were right on everything my husband needed today and even took time to make sure I was ok as well! It’s such a blessing to see that genuine caring still exists! Thank you!"
"1 star because that's the lowest I could give. I'll been here twice in the last 2 weeks with a family member. Front desk staff very nice and helpful. Everything else is substandard. Seems as if the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Staffing standing around, playing, laughing, eating. Meanwhile trash is on the floor and patients waiting for hours to be seen."
"Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. It just wasn’t enough when my wife gave birth that they treated her like a dog. Came in because I have an abcess on my gums. Immediately notice the unprofessionalism as soon as we entered the hospital. Melissa at the front counter, gave us a very rude attitude like she was inconvenienced to do her job. When I got called back, 3 nurses piled in the room to ask questions that one person could’ve asked while my wife stood uncomfortably in the corner. They laughed and joked about going to the next room and going to sleep. We were taken back, but not into a room. They sat me in a recliner with curtains, with no chair for my pregnant wife. They treated me like it was a joke and not serious. As we were sitting there waiting, all the nurses got up and rushed away giggling that they “needed to look outside at the snow”. This is not a professional hospital, just a bunch of immature little teenage girls who want to get paid for nothing. They did not do blood work, despite my request due to a worry I could possibly have sepsis. Told them I got shaken and dizzy at work, they dismissed it and invalidated my concerns. Save your 4 minutes and go go cullman, it could possibly save your life. This place is just a lawsuit waiting to happen."
"Unless I am coding, I do not want to go to Decatur Morgan Hospital. I was not treated like a patient or a person. I was treated like a thorn in someone’s backside. I did not cause a lot of fuss or ask for a lot of things. I had to ask for help a couple times standing up because I was given morphine so if I needed to go to the restroom I had to ask for someone to help me get out of the different hook ups for the machines, but no one walked with me. I had gone to be treated on Wednesday and they told me that if my symptoms got worse or if my vomit turned green that I needed to return to the hospital because it was very important. Friday night comes around and I have to go to the hospital because that exact thing has happened And I sat there for about seven hours in observation while they were also running test and they know what’s wrong and they know that it’s hurting and they know that I can’t really keep down foods or liquids and haven’t been able to for well over a week yet they sent me back out without even talking to me about what was going on with me. There was no communication at all from the staff. I rarely saw a nurse and I do not think I ever saw a doctor. They were so busy trying to get me out of there without doing anything to help me that it was just insane to me. If you don’t care about people don’t go in the medicine."
"I have been a patient now for three or four days in Decatur Morgan Hospital room 330 and it is now the 15th day of December and Shea is the nurse’s assistant. First of all, I’m not saying that any of the other nursing assistance did not do a good job, but I am saying that Shea seemed to go above what all others were offering to do. She came in with a great attitude and was always wanting to help me and the person in the next bed. This is my third or fourth day in the hospital on bed rest because of a blood clot. A ll of the nurses assistant. But today is the first day Anyone has offered to help me to bathe and change my bed sheets. Then she comes in here with A couple of cups of water, a toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant just to help me and the person in the next bed!! I would just like to let Decatur Morgan Hospital know you may want to keep her as a trainer to show how a patient should be treated. Thank you Shea for making my stay in the hospital a little better!
