"Nice new trail. Hope it stays this way."
"New fine gravel path and boardwalk over the marsh. Great place to get out and see birds, bugs, and occasional wildflowers. The only negative was two friendly but annoying black curly haired dogs that joined me on the trail and stayed right at my heels the whole time! No collars. I assume they belong to a nearby family. Hard to observe wildlife with them bouncing around."
"I like this trail a lot and there are never many people out there. The bugs are crazy though definitely bring bug spray."
"This is my favorite place to fish! I’ve had a blast over the years catching huge bass at this refuge! I still enjoy it as my “go to” place to relax, fish and admire the wildlife! Nature is AWESOME!!"
"There is an unmarked gravel road on the east side of the short bridge that crosses the Flint Creek which takes you to the parking lot. From there the trail is very well marked and splits off into two parts. When I visited in February 2022 both parts of the trail ended by running into the swamp. I think I picked a good time of year to go since it looks like it would be prime breeding ground for mosquitoes in warmer weather. Nice scenes, and the trails are less than 2 mi total."
