"A must visit mansion in Tuscaloosa Alabama to understand what/how the Confederates lived and thrived."
"I'm giving this 2 stars because unfortunately they had a huge Flea problem upstairs. I'm sure they will take care of it. I left there worried if some strays were on us and taking some home with us. I also wish the tour guide would have showed a little concern or something. But he just carried on like nothing was happening."
"It's a beautiful old house from the outside but even though the website said they were open, and when I called I was told they would be open at the regular time (2:30 pm), when we got there about 2:40, they were closed. I called & was then told that they were closed because of an event at the Jemison-Van de Graff mansion which meant it was also closed. So, all I can give it is 1 star because the website calendar should be updated to show when they're closed for special events & when you call the day you're planning to go, they should be able to tell you whether they're open or not."
"Beautiful 150 year old home full of period furniture & decor but nothing can be touched inside or moved out for events. Area are roped off to preserve the homes and antiques. Your main serving table is in a cheerful yellow room with red vases on the mantle that has to stay. I choose flowers to compliment the room with yellow and rose colors customers loved them!"
"It was closed at the time. The tour was around 2:30pm and We were on our way to our next vacation spot. The pictures depicted online show a lot of care of the property. Unfortunately not what we saw there."
