Dub's Burgers

"Was pleasantly surprised, as I was hesitant to give this place a try due to the dirty rumor. It's not necessarily dirty, just aged from years of grease in the place. The location would benefit greatly from a remodel. The food was good. Menu is limited. First time trying the pork/beef blend. Food for the most part is cooked to order. I was dissapointed when I walked in and saw burgers on the "warm" side of the grill. I would have preferred a fresh one, but it was fine nonetheless. 4/5 only cause this place could use a facelift! It is very homey in the sense that it has not changed since the 60s, but that was 60 years ago.."

"The burgers are delicious and everything is made to order. The prices are unbelievably reasonable! If you're in the area and you want an old school burger and friendly service, you should give Dub's a try."

"UPDATE 11/28/2023 If you have not been, you do not know what you're missing! AWESOME! Should be rated 10+ Stars! Truly a retro hamburger joint, serving great food, good service and super friendly people. I just ,happened to be driving by and caught a glimpse of the location. Does not look like much from the outside; the inside on the other hand is nothing but great food and service. Has a 97 rating on the wall. You see your burgers and fries being cooked and prepped, served in a paper bag and you're ready to eat! Look forward to a return visit. If you haven't been her you haven't been to Athens! Thanks!"

"Greasy spoon type establishment which always seems to have the best food. That would hold true with Dub's. The burgers are great and both the fries and onion rings are a good compliment. They do overload the drinks with ice which reduces the amount of soda you get with your drink. I struggle to give 5 stars to a place that's only open for lunch though. No love for those of us craving a burger in the evening hours unfortunately. This place could be packed when the bars close on a Friday or Saturday night. If you're in the area in the short window they are open throughout the week, I'd definitely recommend stopping in to try it out."

"Excellent lunch with My Partner. Our Second visit to this establishment that's been in business since 1961 Met the Owners Derrick And wife Lydia. They are hands on with there business and there other crew members was marvelous. Monique was wonderful server to our table she is very sweet and welcoming. Got our order out with quickness Marvelous Carbonation on fountain drinks."
