Jack Brown's Beer and Burger Joint Tuscaloosa

"The food is great here but the service is not. My husband and I brought our three-year-old twin boys for lunch and had wait for a table - which is not a problem, of course! I went to the bar to grab a drink for us while we waited, and was refused service for my husbands drink since he was waiting outside with our twins. I was told I needed his ID to purchase his drink. I went outside and got his ID and returned to the bar - and then the bartender told me that my husband had to be present in order to purchase the drink. I was not told that when I was initially told I needed an ID for the second drink. I’m am 36 and my husband is 45. We do not look remotely underage and neither do the photos on our IDs. I explained to the bartender that my husband was outside with our twin boys, hence why I was coming in to order for us. I was refused the second drink, even though I provided an appropriate ID. We will not be returning."

"If you want a great burger you need to go to Jack Brown’s and make sure you try the fried Oreos. Wow is how I describe those things. My overall experience here was fantastic. Service was great. Multiple people asking if you needed anything. My coke refill brought before I even asked. It’s hard to find a place like this. 10 out of 10."

"This place is great! The burgers are creative, fairly priced, and so juicy! Soft buns. Order a side of fries to share -theyre big portions. We liked the sweet potato fries best. This would be an AMAZING midnight tipsy burger joint. The decor is fun and we enjoyed looking around. We sat inside and had great service. Only 2 very minor things i would change- the seats are small (not thicc girl friendly) and no ranch."

"First off, great food. I’ve eaten at the original one in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and it was great too. I came on a slow Thursday afternoon for a quick solo lunch. Had my kindle to read. Was greates and told to sit wherever I wanted and I went outside because the music was very loud and I was trying to read. Ordered my food and a drink. Server answered my questions well enough. Food took longer than expected for how slow it was but it wasn’t excessive. And the food was hot and fresh and great and worth the wait. Server came back once more to drop the check and I asked and got a refill. That was about it. I really enjoyed the burger and fresh fries with their house sauce. I took my cash payment inside (see below for reason why) and none of the servers or bartenders would acknowledge me so I sat it by the bar computer and left. One thing that doesn’t affect my rating but did change and alter my experience is that I was accosted (only word I can think of to describe the situation) by clearly crazy person. I gave him cash and he kept going at me about Jesus and aliens (separate issues). I definitely paid and left as soon as I could. I was pretty much done anyways but it was an unpleasant way to end my afternoon meal."
