"The staff in the lobby is pretty rude. I was a guest visiting a friend. I was on my way out minding my own business. My friend has let me know prior that there are no dogs allowed in main lobby but I had an Uber on the way as well as a suit case , a heavy bag, and a teacup poodle in my hand. So I went through the main lobby because I was struggling as is. The desk lady was quick to let me know no dogs allowed in this lobby as I assured her I was on my way out of the door anyway and am very tired and also have all this stuff in my hands. Not to mention I have medical issues and a bad heart. Which I left out. But I am outside missing my own business, waiting for Uber and it cancels. I ordered another Uber and while waiting security asks why I’m outside and that usually they don’t have people just waiting outside . I let him know I had a ride on the way. My ride can leave again, at this point I’ve been outside in the rain for 20 mins. I order another ride and it cancels again. I am struggling trying to my best to get a ride home I’m stuck in the rain. And I am bothered again being pestered about why in still outside I let them know I’m having troubles with Ubers canceling. And the. Again one more time they come up to me as if I’m some sort of issue. I am so calm and collected the whole time. Not to mention I’m a 25 year old female waiting outside in the rain in Detroit, a not so safe area. In total , I was outside in the rain for a good 45-50 mins. Instead of them offering any sort of help , they were the opposite. I felt very mistreated and I am truly disgusted by these type of human beings and treatment. I would never treat someone the way I was just treated! And for me to not even be any type of bother!!! I have little sisters I would never just leave a young female out in the rain for 45 min + !!! What kind of establishment is this ?! I’m sick and now my heart problems are acting up. This makes me never want to come to Detroit again !!"

"I guess also part of the blame is my expectations. When I hear 'grilled' mixed vegetables, I dont expect to receive birds eye mixed vegetables or some that came out of a freezer bag which is exactly what this looked like. It was the vegetables with cut green beans, corn and carrots. Normally, when you hear of grilled veggies, it's full vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, etc. Highly disappointed. Order a side of pancakes for a co-worker and they received three syrup's, but they were the size of bottle tops. Can't make this stuff up. The cornbread was soggy and wet, probably from moisture. Lastly, I ordered the mashed potatoes, which were homemade, but they had absolutely no taste. Tried mixing the potatoes with the veggies, but that didn't help at all. Highly dissatisfied! Will never go back! All I ordered were sides! Still hungry and threw my food away. SMH."

"It don't get no better than this ! Its VERY CLEAN, Comfortable, Secure & the Residents are Friendly & The Staff is Exceptional ! Over & Above ! I've been a resident here for 28 years & it doesn't get any better than this! I feel more secure here than in the White House!"

"The FRONT desk receptionists during the week are rude in the morning and rude in the evening! They don't know customer service if it slapped them in the face. I visit on the weekends now to avoid those idiots. I hear nothing but complaints from the members there and how they're going to get rid of management. My friend often says she feels like a prisoner in her own home."

"I am a new owner at the Riverhouse and I like the property. It's a part time apartment so it works for my needs, the small library, fitness room, and laundry room are quaint and peaceful. The security is a nice touch and they patrol the halls to keep the environment safe. Everyone has spoke and done self intros so far, or I approach them. It's kind of historical or rustic to me. Hotel vibe that I own a piece of. I like it and it's a cool spot to chill in my city....."
