Lexington Square Apartments 2301 West Lexington Avenue, Elkhart, IN 46514

"These are absolutely the worse apartments/town homes thus far!!! From the day we moved into here we’ve had maintenance issues but, they were sooo behind they couldn’t fix anything! They are constantly losing workers. They have walked into my home numerous of times (5+) without any notifications. I have asked them over and over NOT to but, they continue to do so. They are extremely rude and will walk right pass without even a “hello”. I’ve had a horrible leakage in my bathroom that caused damage all the way downstairs on my ceiling. The maintenance guy decided to make a hole in my bedroom wall for access but, was told from corporate they would have it painted and looking better! Months later still a patch on my wall, with a hole on my ceiling. I’ve went and told them how my daughters drawers broke in her bathroom two months ago, they sent a email saying they fixed it when in reality they NEVER did anything! It’s still broken. My dish washer is broke, my daughters mirror in the bathroom is about to fall off, the Hott water works for 15 mins if you’re lucky. These are the most raggedy, ghetto, unprofessional, unorganized apartments EVER! I hate I ever recommended anyone to them! The first week of recommending a friend here they air went out and took almost two months to fix with a newborn in the home! I also have a newborn and they don’t care! Funny thing we had a letter in our door saying when our lease is up they will NOT be wanting us to renew it. No reason why, except I constantly stay on them about my property I’m paying for. No company really, never had police called , rent 695 gets paid on time. When brought to their attention the office manager says it’s due to them not allowing anyone to stay longer than 4yrs, it’s in their contracts. Crazy because we’ve been here going on 2yrs! However, I am extremely happy about our lease being up very soon! The management here is horrible, it was better when the old office manager was in there .I don’t blame any of the rude maintenance workers for walking into my home because the office should train their workers better! "They didn't let us see our apartment until the day we were scheduled to move in, when they told us they still needed to replace the capret throughout. So, after we moved all our stuff in, we had to move it all again from room to room while they did the carpet. Maintenance is atrocious. Nearly nothing has been fixed, even though they've been to our apartment several times. We had the ceiling in our upstairs bathroom torn apart for over a month, and all they did was screw the panel back on after we complained about it, without fixing the problem. They did replace the bathtub faucets, but didn't seat them, so they scream when you turn on the water. Entry stairs were cracked and wobbly, and they would only replace a few of them. So many issues I cannot list them all, although I will mention that there have been several cockroch sightings. Exterminator put some dollar store traps in cabinets and on floor, and used some dried out bait that fell out of the cabinet hinges once they were opened. Management and office staff do not listen and will tell you just about anything to shut you up. The only good thing about the apartment is that it is spacious. Had we found an available house for rent by the time we had to move, we definitely would NOT be living here. Steer clear! Update: one of the entry stairs actually broke while we were walking down them - luckily no one was seriously hurt. They only replaced that one step, and it was a month before our move-out date when they finally replaced all the steps. In addition to this, a small leak in the ceiling caused a whole section of drywall to fall out. New noisy neighbors that sit outside all day drinking beer and bothering everyone. So glad to be moving!"

"I have unfortunately have been living here for 6+ years and have been trying to move out every step of the way. Nothing is ever fixed. EVER! The entire left side of my building is rotted and the whole building needs to be torn down. Appliances are a nightmare and every lease they raise the rent. Don't move here if you enjoy good health and good living. Once you get in, they'll bleed your wallet dry."

"I would not recommend living here to anyone. In the short year I lived there i had cockroaches coming in my apartment even though I always kept my apartment clean, people kept moving in and out all the time. My neighbors next door smoked weed and the smell was heavy in my apartment then water was getting in my closet and mold starting growing on my wall, made a work order for the mold to come be fixed/looked at and all I received was an email saying that maintenance had been out to my house to fix the mold problem and they never came had to extend my lease and do month to month with Lexington square moved into my home may 11th and that was the last day at the apartment and Lexington square wants me to pay for the month of junes rent even though i wasnt living there."

"This is the absolute worst apartment complex you could ever live in. They have bugs, even if you keep the apartment cleaned. It takes months to get anything fixed, and if you have any kind of fee or if you owe anything, they are not timely on letting you know. They do nothing about noise complaints or an complaints for that matter. The management is aweful as well. The appliances are probable from the 80's and have never been updated. The apartments are just overall poorly ran."
