Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elkhart-South, an IHG Hotel

"I dont stay in hotels too often, but this is the third time this year I had to. My dad and I came to visit family in Elkhart & we stayed for 3 nights. Every hotel in the last few years has not come to clean the rooms or bring fresh towels--They it posted that they don't do that unless requested or when a guest checks out. At this holiday inn however, the ladies came in each morning and did a wonderful job and we didn't have to ask. One morning we didn't leave the hotel till later and it was still cleaned when we got back! The breakfast at this location is also wonderful & everyone I encountered at the front desk was friendly too!! This just might be my new hotel in Elkhart, IN!"

"We stay at this hotel 1-2 times a year to visit family. This time we have had a major billing problem and what have put holds/authorizations totaling over $200 our total stay price and stated this is was glitch in their system and nothing they can do about it. We are very frustrated by this experience and will not be staying here again. Completely unacceptable business practices"

"Very dirty rooms! They will change your reservations without informing you and make some excuse as to why they did so. I have everything verified in email and our membership app but they tried telling me I was incorrect until I showed them my reservations."

"This place is not very visible from the road and is hard to see due to its location, but that’s about the worst thing I can say. Every one of the workers were eager to be helpful and upbeat with guests. Our room (we stayed 3 night) was spacious, clean and comfy. The shower water pressure was great and the WiFi was fast. Breakfast was great, and although they were out of pancake mix during our entire stay, the fresh warm cinnamon rolls made up for it! They did fall a bit behind with breakfast and coffee on Sunday morning, but caught up once people started waiting in line. I personally observed three different spills during our stay and housekeeping was diligent and efficient in getting things cleaned quickly. It was refreshing to see a smile and a friendly greeting from the front desk staff each time we walked by, making us feel valued! We would definitely stay again! We did have an issue with noise and verbal harassment by another guest on our first night but were not able to contact the front desk because “all the room phones have been disconnected” (according to a staff member). This policy needs to be reevaluated since this is a three story building!"
