"Maintenance is fast and respectful. They even come within 12 hours sometimes. The apartments usually come with some issues but if you let the office know they will fix it immediately. I’ve probably had 20 things fix over 2 years and always get good service."
"By far one of the best apartment complexes I have lived in! I would’ve stayed if I didn’t buy a house! The maintenance is great; I’ve submitted work orders and they have showed up the next day or next couple days. I loved how timely they were. Alex the property manager is amazing and has been so helpful and understanding whenever I had questions or an issue! He also is on top of improving that place which is awesome to see. Anytime I did a survey for complexes I felt like my feedback was never taken seriously except for here. It was a refreshing change. The community is nice and friendly and my neighbors were quiet, it was lovely. Lastly the space they offer in these townhomes are wonderful. They’re so open and bright. Definitely made me feel homey and cozy!"
"Since moving in we have had nothing but great interactions with all the staff. Any issue we had they had resolved in 24 hours. They are kind and understanding. The neighbors are amazing as well. This resident has no complaints this far."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. The property wasn’t and still isn’t being properly taken care of. During the winter no one wants to pay to have the plow company to drop salt. So bad so that my service dog broke her hind leg on ice in the middle of the parking lot where cars drive. From day one the townhome was falling apart. The ways of repairing things was to take a nail gun to it or repair it like garbage. They fix things as cheap as possible until things break. Thats when they bring in pros to fix or replace things. Most maintenance repairs only lasted a month and fell apart again. The crime that happens there is beyond ridiculous. They have had two active shootings. Cars dumped and burned that were involved with a murder and drive by in Kalamazoo. People dealing drugs and doing Robberies. Teenagers doing drugs on the playgrounds around little kids and at the gazebo that is a bus stop for school. Kids fighting and jumping each other left and right. Guns threatened by some teenagers out there. No one does anything that works here. I have had cars broken into, windows busted out, and attempted thefts of cars from me and neighbors. When brought to property managers (Alex) attention nothing is ever done. Seems like my family and I were his favorite targets for dumb small things other got away with. The rent they charge isn’t worth the price for what the quality of the buildings are. Just not the family friendly park environment they claim to have. I would steer clear. I am thankful my family and I were able to get into a house and out of there. Pictures for proof are of what the points I made. Way over charged at move out. Alex harassed us over the damages bill when we moved out only gave us a week to pay it. As well as way over charged for everything. We called the supplier and got our own list of what he billed us for. It was Way less then what we got billed for by the complex. This complex is nothing but a big joke and money grubbers. all of the office employees and most of the maintenance are lazy and don’t care. John is just a lazy maintenance man and just rude. He sends everyone else to do his dirty work and is rude to residents. the phase 1 buildings are sinking into the ground. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that. I don’t know how they pass safety inspections if they even do them. Almost like a slum lords here. The damages to the car’s body in the pictures were all caused by vandalism while we lived there for 3 years. Again photos are for proof of my car break ins, my service dogs broken leg, and lack of care of the property during the winter. I am sure the complex will try to deny and push this on residents as they do with everything else. All the recent 5 star reviews are due to Alex and the corporate company telling residents to do reviews to try to over shadow the negative ones. I have been told by a couple of employees and residents this. Residents are being incentivized to do so."
"THE PHOTOS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES -- Exterior Views (interior posted separately) Resident since 2019, documented issues regularly since move in. PLEASE NOTE - RESIDENTS HAVE BEEN INCENTIVIZED TO LEAVE REVIEWS AT DIFFERENT TIMES. Price gouging started during pandemic. In the last 2 years, residents have experienced rent increases of 18% and more (between $185 and $300 increase per month), no additional services, amenities, or upgrades. Now required to pay for shared utilities (water, trash) and cover increased costs for units with MSHDA subsidies. Water charges as based on unit size, not number of occupants or actual use. Some residents will definitely cover other tenant water use. Pictures show increasingly lax property maintenance over the years, though front entrance is upgraded for marketing purposes. Some homes are covered with algae year after year, some have weeds growing in the gutters. Others have hornet nests in the outside facing and birds nests in the dryer exhaust vents. Residents deal with insect infestations every year inside units and outdoors in landscaping close to entrances (spider mites, ants, tent worms in bushes close to entrances); management does not feel it is their responsibility to address, so residents do to maintain some quality of living. Some siding is missing and there are holes in other places. Standard safety features are neglected (see photos of parking lamp posts rigged with electrical tape). Air conditioning units are never serviced or maintained. The gutters were full of debris until just last year. Rain regularly poured onto my patio causing issues with the foundation. Concerned residents trim wildly overgrown landscaping and pull weeds allowed to grow in parking lot into at least July of the summer. As of August 2023, bushes in front of home have not been trimmed this season and weeds on back patios have grown as tall as privacy fences, some have grown into bushes. Some residents are harassed with petty lease violations until they give up and move out. Property has high vacancy rates. Policies are not resident-focused, primary concern is profit. Management is happy to collect rent, but will be evasive and defensive when residents share concerns. Reaching out to corporate to escalate is often met with absolute silence. Current residents pay more rent than new tenants, check the website. Resident amenities are taken away, like assigned parking, without notice or explanation to avoid need for parking enforcement. Tenants are afraid to speak up for fear of being harassed or evicted. Look for Part 2 -- I will address issues INSIDE the units in a separate post. There was too much to include here."
