"Short, level natural-surface out and back trail (with a little loop at the far end). Usually quiet, and the trail is pretty well marked. Leashed dogs are allowed (but no trash cans on site). The trail now connects to the parking area on West Road with a new bridge, which is a nice improvement (it used to be necessary to walk along the roadside to the beginning of the trail). It's a good idea to check Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy's website to make sure the trail is open before you go, as the trail sometimes closes seasonally to protect the area, as it does get seasonally wet."
"Nice shady wooded path running along. Bowmens archery club. Gets a bit buggy during summer. Spring and fall are the best times to venture out on this path."
"Dense woods, bring bug spray. Not as prairie like I thought. Was a simple hike. Nothing strenuous. Was muddy in spots but that is right after a storm."
"It was hard to find the beginning of the trail at first. You have to walk along the busy roadwith your dog to get on the trail. I didn't like that very much. Once on the trail, it was flooded out but we'll maintained. I went in November so be forwarned that the neighbor next door has a tree stand beside the trail and could very well mistake you for a deer... Also to note, They ask that no dogs are off their leashes and that's THE ONLY REASON I WENT TO RUN HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE AWAY FROM PEOPLE AND GET HIS ENERGY OUT. So I was not a fan. But it's a nice short hike and quiet place to run your dog on leash."
"Hidden gem, with potential. Looks interesting, but was closed at the time due to renovations. Paths very muddy not walkable in the current state without your ducky boots! but seems to have lots of birds and tree frogs. Entrance path to trail is right along Sibley road with heavy traffic. It would be nice to see a small bridge or wooden walkway built to cross the stream and avoid the road all together. I will return when it reopens and walk the full trail to see what I can see. Come back to view more photography from my Nikon or visit g.photography.co to view more of this nature preserve."
