"Shield’s is one of my absolute favorite spots in Detroit. They have the best staff and food!! Amy, Jay, and Lem are THE best people. They will take excellent care of you. The pizza, wings, and chicken Parmesan are my favorite dishes! The chicken sandwiches are also fire. They have FANTASTIC long islands and a great bar menu. They even have out free pizzas when the Lion’s won. I will be a lifelong customer and continue to bring EVERYONE here when they visit me in Detroit!!! I am lucky that I work in the building because I can go there whenever I want. It can be dangerous."

"The staff was very friendly. They interacted with the kids and everything. The place was nice and clean had the game playing with waiters ready to take your order. Everybody had smiles on their face and last but not least...the pizza was AMAZING! Some of the best pizza I had....definitely the best I had in a while. I'll be back for sure!"

"I live right over the border and had yet to try authentic Detroit style pizza. Googled this place and saw that it has been in the business a long time - that's a great sign. We ordered carry out, and the order was ready within 20 min! We had the Super pizza. The toppings are fresh and overloaded! You do NOT need to order extra cheese. It was thick and gooey! I just wish the bottom dough was cooked a bit more. The edges were nice and crisp. However, the bottom was a bit soggy. Still devoured it, though. I could only finish one slice, it's that filling. The wings were coated nicely. The service was fantastic when my boyfriend went to pick up."
