"Update Attempting to get my medical records from the office. When I called to ask how to go about it ,Kartha came on the line. She immediately has an attitude, and when I told her how upset I was that she dropped me and that it hurt, she wouldn't explain anything. She immediately cuts me off, starts yelling and calling me a liar. She then tells me she doesn't have time for this and hung up. Yet she had the time to come on the phone and call me a liar. I called back, and the rude receptionist from before brought up this review and said she was not rude. It was my opinion that she was rude but she insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about. I told her I wasn't interested in being gas lit and that I would just like medical records. She then hung up on me. Tried calling back, and they didn't answer and/or kept hanging up. They then called me back two days later telling me that I could come pick up my records, but I had to pay for them. I asked another lady who worked there, if there was going to be a charge and she said no. So it seems like Kartha enjoys playing games. I felt like I was dealing with mean girls in high school. It's so ridiculous. Kartha also confirmed that Henry Ford was not a good hospital for formula feeding mothers. So she knowing delivers at a hospital that doesn't have a babies best interest. Summary: Patient abandonment and lets religious views cloud her judgement. Confidential, it is not the office's strong suit. I have been going to Dr. Kartha for 12+ years. Her reputation for being a good doctor pushed me through uncomfortable moments brought on by her awkward bedside manner. I had my first child at Henry Ford Wyandotte - the only hospital Dr. Kartha will use for delivery. Dr. Kartha was the only good experience we had here. The rest of the visit was horrible. My child wasn't getting enough milk and as I would find out, HF is a breast is best hospital they ignored/withheld formula and information on questions we had. Not Dr. Kartha's fault, other than her commitment to only deliver out of a horrible hospital but, no wonder she made a comment (paraphrasing here) about how I need to be persistent about advocating for the health of my child. When I discovered I was pregnant with my second child I wished to go with Dr. Kartha as I trust her intuition but, this experience paired with hearing that nurses here have "racist days" (whatever that means), baptize babies without parents consent, and protested against the covid vaccine mandate made me call her office and ask for another hospital. I was informed Kartha has a money contract with HF. She would only deliver out of HF. So I asked if she would allow a doula to advocate for my child and myself. The receptionist rudely said no and that she's a private practice so she can "do what she wants." I was a little taken back by the tone but understood as her business, her rules. Since Kartha would not allow a doula and could not use a different hospital I was forced to seek out a different doctor for the duration of my second pregnancy. I gave birth in January 2022. I recently received a notice in the mail for my annual check up from Dr. Kartha. I made an appointment and secured time off work. The next day I got a phone call from a woman in her office rudely telling me I'm no longer welcomed. The woman was so vague and I was trying to understand why but she only became more rude. I can not say I'm surprised by this as I've experienced it before and 90% of their reviews site the rude front desk staff. After a more than 12 year relationship, Kartha broke up with me and couldn't even call me herself. I do not recommend wasting your time with this doctor or her rude staff."

"Dr Kartha was very nice but her office staff is one of the worst I have dealt with. I was refused to be seen as a patient because I owed a small past due co pay. Once I was told that I owed it, I paid it at once and thought I would be seen. But a couple days before my apt, her office manager called me and told me that I was no longer welcome as a patient there because of $30. That’s after recommending Dr Kartha, to a lot of my family and friends. And many have said they would no longer go there because of how I was treated. It’s unfortunate because I thought Dr Kartha, is a good doctor but her office staff is going to have her lose a lot of patients because of how they treat people. Sad."

"Dr. Kartha and her A-Team are awesome! I had a pretty difficult operation done and I could not have felt more comfortable, considering the circumstances. Dr. Kartha and her staff always maintained a high professionalism with me, as their patient , but compassionate and understanding, at the same time. Dr. Kartha and her team, are Rockstars, cause they saved my life in more ways then one!"

"Doctor Geetha Kartha, is the most loving and compassionate Doctor, I've ever gone to. Her professionalism is outstanding. She sincerely has shown how much she cares about my comfort and it has been my pleasure of visiting her and her awesome team of office personnel. There's not a question I could ever asked that wasn't met with consideration. We've seen Dr. Kartha for a number of years and have followed her practice from the very beginning from her first practice up to including the current location. We live in Ferndale and the trip is completely worth the trip. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for an exceptional doctor for themselves or their daughter."
