Saugatuck Motel

"A cute step back to 1953. The pool was great. Clean rooms. Each room has its own through the wall AC and the TV doesn't have many channels to choose from. It's only a couple miles from both downtown Saugatuck and downtown Douglas. Expect a Rouye 66 style motel with the stereotypical Michigan mustiness inside. We would still probably visit again because we appreciate how much heart and soul the owner put in to the place."

"It was great to find a really nice place to stay that was off the beaten path in Saugatuck. The location worked out especially well since we were in town for a wedding in Spring Lake which is 30 minutes north of Saugatuck. The rooms were clean and well appointed, minus the minimal cable package but we didn't spend much time watching TV. The setting is great and the pool has a nice vibe to it. Like others mention, Rob, the owner was accommodating and focused on customer service. Our only regret was that we only got to stay for one night. Word to the wise: expect to pay peak season rates during the summer months as demand is high across the board that time of year"

"Clean! This was one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. The owner is very friendly, he knew all of the guests names and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the pool and borrowed some yard games available in the lobby. We had a great night around the fire pit with other visitors. We will absolutely be back!"

"My son and his wife stayed here over memorial weekend. I am from the area and had never heard of this amazing motel. The rooms have everything you need, exceptionally clean and comfortable. Then they have the property set up so nicely that you almost don't want to go into town. From the comfortable Adirondack chairs right outside the room, a beautiful swimming pool you can relax by, to a welcoming firepit surrounded by chairs for friends old and new to gather. Or if you just want to lay in a hammock, they have that too. I couldn't find anything missing here. I would recommend this to anyone that truly wants to relax and enjoy our beautiful Saugatuck."
