"As a motel owner, I enjoy a getaway after the Labor Day weekend. After much research I decided to stay at the BeachWay Resort & Hotel. It was within walking distance to the beach. I stayed upstairs in the hotel. It was quite lovely, quiet, and the room was spotless. I woke up to the smell of coffee from downstairs. It gave me a B&B vibe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying there again in the future."

"Rented a room on the river as we usually do and have a good experience. Great view! HOWEVER….F-I-L-T-H-Y!!! Spiderwebs in corners and on lights. Stuck hand through a spiderweb to turn on the table lamp. Corners, window and slider tracks filled with dead bugs. One corner had over 50 dead bugs in it, not exaggerating. Flies and other bugs flying around. Dead bugs smashed on windows and countertops. Rug was dirty and the place was dusty. Inside of fridge/freezer dirty. Even the bottle of Dawn dish soap had crusty crud on it! Talked with personnel, very pleasant person, they had housekeeping come in and ‘clean again’. We got new towels and they emptied our trash, nothing was cleaned."

"This is a nice little place, and for most people, it would probably rate higher. What decreases the rating for me is as follows. Smoking is allowed all around the premises and around the pool. So, for anyone who is allergic or who has difficulty breathing like myself, keep that in mind. The rooms are smaller, so the layout isn't the most efficient, but that can be tolerated. However, you can hear everyone talking outside or walking around inside, so it's not very quiet. The location is fine. However, the chain ferry is very unpredictable, and most of the food and shops are on the opposite side of the river. There is transportation that can be called, but if it's busy, they aren't the easiest to get ahold of. That brings me to parking. There are spaces to park, but everything fills up quickly, and you may be left without a place to park. Just another headache to navigate. The staff was super friendly and helpful anytime they were needed. They will be able to answer your questions and point you in the direction you're looking to go!"
