Parkway Vet 39321 Garfield Road Small Animal & Exotic, Clinton Township, MI 48038

"Don't go to this vet unless you have unlimited funds!! We rescued a cat off the side of the road 9 years ago. Got it fixed, shots, and took it as needed to the vet. Her health has been declining the past 6 months and she has awful arthritis in her front paws. We, as a family, decided to put her to sleep. I called made an appointment for that and when asked if we would like a vet consultation, declined. When I got there, they put us in a room, came back, took my credit card to charge $150.00, and came back with a receipt. It spiraled into a vet consultation, medication and the vet saying she is "too young" and if I didn't pay for lab work they would not put her to sleep and he also gave me the number to a shelter. Needless to say we will be taking our cat to her old vet an hour away. I could be wrong. Maybe I am an awful person, but it should not be their decision. I could see if it was a young cat with no health problems, but hey... they got their $240.00 out of me."

"I had an amazing experience with them and would take my sugar gliders there when I had them and had a wonderful experience. Then I got a Pomeranian and couldn’t find a vet that would take my girl Luna and called Parkway and I had an appointment within a day or two. I saw two different Drs I can’t recall the first one name she was great but the second one, Dr Anderson was absolutely INCREDIBLE with me (I was upset and crying) and she explained everything really well and informed me of the choices we were working with. She was gentle and knew her stuff and the rest of the staff was absolutely amazing as well I don’t have one bad thing to say and if I ever get another an animal I’ll be taking them there as well. They went above and beyond for my girl and just hands down a wonderful place that cares and it almost seems like they all enjoy their job lol (things like that matter to me) so check them out you won’t be disappointed and we’re grateful we have them."

"I rate this one star. Because they're all out for money that's it.. I scheduled an appointment for my rat because she was sneezing. I should have known not to even go through with the appointment after they asked for a $50 deposit just to make an appointment. Well then I called and canceled the appointment because my rat was doing better. And then they told me that I do not get my $50 back. This place is a total rip off. I wish there was a way to report them to someone because they are conning people out of a lot of money. I will never ever make an appointment with that place again. I can just imagine how much they were going to charge me when I got there in addition to the $50 they stole from me."

"I had been taking my dog Hunter to Parkway Vet since November 2021. He was diagnosed with Cushings disease. They took good care of him. Unfortunately, we found out he also had cancer. We had to put him to sleep on 8-26-23. The staff there was so nice and patient with us while we said our goodbyes. They let us take our time. Dr. Knapp was especially caring when it was time. We gave them a picture of Hunter. He was also unique because his fur had a heart shape on the side of his body. We received a really nice sympathy card from the office, and everyone signed it."

"I enjoy this vet, they are kind and they don't hack their job. They are reasonable and they talk about your animals situation and let you choose what you would like done!! My kitty Luks loves his visits"
