"Mixed feelings characterize my experience at Bioniccs. While the staff demonstrated friendliness and professionalism, my expectations for the MRI screening to confirm previous dedicated scans and potentially unveil new findings were not met. I had reservations about the cost and efficacy of an MRI screening, especially considering my family doctor's advice against it. Despite this counsel, I proceeded, only to be disappointed by the results. Having undergone various medical imaging procedures previously, I possessed a baseline for comparison with Bioniccs' MRI screening. It's crucial to emphasize the distinction between a dedicated MRI scan and a screening, as they yield different results. Regrettably, the Bioniccs screening missed crucial findings observed in previous scans, and what it did detect was, in my opinion, misjudged and downplayed. After receiving the results of my screening, I reached back out to Ryan, the owner of Bioniccs, where I was told the interpretation of the MRI (radiologist), the doctor who communicated the results to me, and the company that sent the CD were all contractors. This helps clarify much of the ambiguity I encountered. During my follow-up conversation with Ryan, I also mentioned my concern about the images Bioniccs posted on its website and social media pages did not accurately depict the MRI machine he owned. Additionally, the images on the CD I was provided did not match the quality of the images he had posted online. After talking with, Ryan, he opted to take down a number of online images, prompting me to provide them with a 2-star review instead of a 1-star rating. Also, post-screening, I consulted with my family doctor, who recommended a recheck using ultrasound—an alternative that proved to be more cost-effective and provided clear findings. While Bioniccs might be suitable for those without prior scans or lacking health insurance, I would exercise caution. Many primary care doctors would likely endorse routine annual checkups, including chest X-rays, breathing tests, blood work, and EKGs—all of which are less expensive and noninvasive. In cases where patients complain of symptoms, doctors typically recommend ultrasounds, dedicated MRIs, or CT scans over a full-body MRI screening. Consider this: Unlike the very expensive and frequently inconclusive MRI screenings, cost-effective ultrasound diagnostics enable thorough scanning of multiple areas, such as the thyroid, liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder, gallbladder, pelvic region, veins, arteries, and more. Following my experience with Bioniccs’ MRI screening, I've come to realize its imperfections, and patients should not harbor a false sense of security by being given an all clear. In the end, it's merely a screening. I strongly advise anyone encountering even subtle symptoms to seek advice from a doctor. Furthermore, maintaining routine annual checkups is consistently a wise decision. I'm composing the comment below in reaction to Bioniccs response to my review. Additionally, caution should be exercised when sharing specific instances like "This month our screenings identified two potentially lifesaving situations for people in the same day," as it may raise concerns about HIPAA laws regarding public disclosure and social media. While I'm not an expert, it might be advisable to approach such comments and claims with greater care. "It’s about time! Finally, a common sense approach to preventing needless suffering and death due to cancers and other diseases not being diagnosed until it’s too late. This was a a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This was an expensive procedure but I’m so glad I did it. It’s been such a piece of mind. The MRI report confirmed things known and revealed issues that were concerning but can now be treated. I’m hoping I will be able to add this to regiment every 3-5 years . It’s a wealth of information for my doctors and they were amazed at the information that they now have at their fingertips. No need for guessing , or having numerous tests and procedures that come up with inconclusive results. As I age, my Drs and I will have the definitive information needed to keep me as healthy as possible. I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Last thought… we are not a health care society we are a disease care society. Why? That’s simple, healthy people don’t make pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and Drs money."
