"Neighbour shot himself, other neighbour was a dealer who was raided by the US marshals. Tons of roaches and rats on the first floor with zero help from property management. They have been harassing me for over a year to make payments I dont owe. Terrible place"
"Bike stolen here. Post office takes nearly month to forward my mail to different address which I didn't know and they won't let you get your mail here after you move. Why hold my mail hostage for months?"
"I love this place!! I wish we had one with a belcony but as for staff the people who work at office are amazing people. They are kind, understanding and beyond helpful. Most of The residents are dirty and trash the outside and inside at times, and the maintenance never returns to fix what they promised multiple times to come back and fix but as for the landlord and office workers they are wondering people. I love my apartment even though the people before me left it dirty but its still a wonderful place. I wish it was more affordable and i wish that we could move to a one bedroom place with a belcony but were on the waiting list so thats always great. I love the nature views here and i love how the workers and land lord are lenient and let us live a happy private life and are not strict. They let us live peacefully the way we want to as long as we are respecting others, i just love this place so very much and if it were more affordable and we could do as we please as far as pets go i could see my self living in this location forever tbh. Theres also tons of closet space which is great !!"
"Shannon from the leasing office was fantastic when I was getting ready to move in. She was always super friendly and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. She would even email me back when she was off the clock. I was very pleased with my experience with her. If this review was just about Shannon, I would give 5 stars. However, since I moved in 3 months ago, I have a list of complaints about this place. I live in the Peaks of Water's Edge and I am counting down the days until my lease is up. One of my biggest complaints is that my apartment constantly smells like cat pee even though I do not have a cat. I was told that my apartment got brand new carpet before I moved in, but I can't tell because it smells awful in here. The hallways also reak like cat pee. The stairwells are rarely ever cleaned and they reak like the nasty trash that people leave in them. I looked under the stairs on the first floor and there was tons of trash, old food containers and a sleeping bag, as if someone was living under there. And I wouldn't doubt that a homeless person was sleeping there because the doors are always propped open so anyone can enter. I have also come across dog poop and pee in the stairwells and it blows my mind that people are inconsiderate enough to leave that for someone else to clean. As I mentioned before, I have only lived here for 3 months and I have already had 2 notices under my door about a pest inspection. I can understand having pest inspections once or twice a year, but twice in 3 months? That leads me to believe that there is a pest problem in my building that I should be informed about. But every time I call the office to talk to Donna (the contact person on the notices), she is not available to talk. My windows have been leaking since day one. I called maintenance and they came to look, but they didn't fix anything. They told me that management would be fixing all the windows in the spring time. It is now half way through June and my windows still leak. I recieved a notice under my door at the beginning of May saying that management would be in to inspect the windows. They never came and I have seen notices posted by the elevator about the inspection being rescheduled. I rarely even take the elevator so it bothers me that they aren't even putting these notices under my door because if I don't take the elevator and don't see the notices, then I have no idea when someone is supposed to be entering my apartment when I am not home. I do like how all of my neighbors are quiet and friendly, but my direct neighbor just had a package stolen from her door step. So, I guess I can't trust anyone around here. I never got entered into the system to unlock the doors, so anytime I have a guest or order food I have to walk all the way down from the 4th floor to let people in and that is annoying. The outside of this place is covered in trash and dog poop. When I pick up after my dog I have to dodge other dog poop to get there and that is annoying. The laundry here sucks. It's expensive and I have to pay twice to dry every load because the dryers don't do their job."
"If only it was possible to give no stars... Have a seat because this will be long. Do not move in here if you don’t absolutely have to. The staff is horrible except for Shannon, and you can find somewhere nicer in the area for what they want in rent. I’ve lived here for close to three years. This is my first apartment and when I first moved in, things were decent. My unit wasn’t very well made up (marks on the walls from the last person’s pictures and possibly a tv being mounted, bad paint job and paint peeling, etc.) But I was excited to have my own place and it was close to my new job so I thought nothing of it. During the time I’ve lived here, I’ve had to contact maintenance several times due to the fact that I kept coming home to my kitchen sink overflowing. Then last September I noticed a leak happening in my wall. It was bad enough that the drywall is somewhat damaged and one day it leaked through my floor and into the lobby (luckily nobody lives directly underneath me) I put in several maintenance requests through the website and nobody came. Then when someone finally did, they couldn’t figure out what was causing it. I then ended up making phone calls back and forth with Donna (who obviously doesn’t care about people’s concerns because she couldn’t even remember that I told her the leak was in my wall. NOT my window.) She informed me that it was a tuck pointing issue and claimed she would schedule to have someone come look at it, but the weather had to be decent for them to do it. It’s now June and they supposedly had somebody come on the 7th for the tuck pointing. There was no note or anything left behind saying someone was in my apartment, so I honestly can’t say if anybody came to fix the leak or not. So literally almost a year has passed since I initially brought up the leak and they are just now allegedly doing something about it. You can’t tell me that between last September and this month that there wasn’t decent weather for a few days straight... Moving on to the lease and rent. When I first moved in, my rent was $662. I was given a contract to look over and sign. The following year I received a text about a “pizza party” which was just a way for them to get people to come to the leasing office and sign new lease agreements. When I showed up to do just that, I was told that my contract hadn’t been typed up yet and it would be slid under my door when it was ready. Eventually after days of waiting to see something under my door, I got the new agreement and my rent went up...to $694. Fast forward to a few months ago, I did not receive a new agreement or any kind of notification about renewal or rent being raised again. One day I came home to a paper shoved under my door saying I owed $80 that I need to turn in with the current month’s rent. The $80 was four months worth of the accumulated difference between the $694 I had been paying that they were gladly taking, and the new rent amount of $714 that I wasn't notified about until getting the paper under my door. I was then charged a $100 late fee even though I had my rent money (the previous $694) ready for the month and had it turned down the first time I tried to talk to somebody about it. I was severely inconvenienced and nobody I spoke to about the issue cared. I asked why there was no kind of notification about renewal or my rent going up and I was told “We don’t have to tell you.” They also are now trying to charge me $300 for having a dog. I got my dog two years ago and the staff was well aware of it, so why now this is suddenly happening, I don’t know. These people have proven that your well being is not a priority here. Your money is all that matters. Don’t let the fancy name change or the switch from mulch to rocks fool you, it’s still a crappy place to live and worse staff to have to deal with."
