"Absolute dump. Worst run rental company in the city. Bad buildings, no response to maintenance requests. Pushes out old residents to raise rent."
"BEWARE, do not move here. I wish I listened to the reviews below, as I had also a terrible experience. The property manager is psychotic. Maitnance will come in and out of your house unannounced, and they do not even work for the company. If you ever do receive maintenance that is… If anything goes wrong in your unit, you are doomed."
"I am giving 2 stars because the neighborhood is amazing- love Mariemont but the property management was THE WORST-completely ignores maintenance calls. It would take months to get things fixed- if ever. They cheap out on everything which is a shame because the historical townhomes could be so beautiful if maintained and restored properly. I had no hot water for the fist 1.5 weeks, basement flooded. Windows were literally painted shut, missing screens, etc No- hood or ventilation in the kitchen so every time I cooked I had to have the door open and set off the very sensitive smoke detectors. Speaking of smoke detectors, upon move in, 4 smoke detectors did not work in addition to multiple light bulbs, thermostat (previously mentioned hot water), areas were primed and not painted. Leak in bedroom ceiling. Belinda dropped off a bag of smoke detectors and bulbs on the front stoop for me to install/replace myself. I had just moved in and had to unpack. The place was still so dirty I had cleaners come in. I could never get the vents fully clean.. if you do plan to move here, get everything in writing that they promise you before you move in and and if you have repairs, semd the request online or email and cc the regional cmc office that oversees Mariemont Townhomes. Best move- rent from someone else."
"We love it here for many reasons; we moved here for the school district initially. The neighborhood is absolutely magnificent, clean, & safe- worth the expense of living in this town. The charm of almost- 100 year old buildings does come with expected maintenance needs; the first 8 months we were here there was a different property manager, and we would’ve moved on due to so many ignored calls and emails, and complete lies about rates on bigger units. It was really distressing. Then they hired someone new, and our experience had turned completely around. Belinda goes above and beyond for us and all of her tenants. She is honest. She is quick to respond to any issue. But more than that, she CARES about every single person in every single home. She’s upfront and accurate about how long things will take to fix, she always checks in on the work while it’s being done, and makes sure that everything has been taken care of - I just don’t know if we’d even have stayed if she hadn’t come along. She’s the kind of person you’d WANT in charge of where you live. We love it here."
"These rental townhomes managed by CMC in Mariemont seem too good to be true because they are. Sadly, CMC rails into young professionals with undue final hardships and are constantly stripping away the everyday joys of living in Mariemont. No matter how many places you’ve rented and left on excellent terms and received your deposit back with compliments of how immaculate you’ve left the vacancy, they will keep your deposit. And this is on top of consistently leaky roofs, unexpected contractors entering your home, or changes to your house or living situation not only without prior conversation but with none ever. If you dare complain, no matter how rational you are, they’ll make you feel like you have unreasonable expectations and provide no solution or compensation. Imagine not having hot water in your shower the first two months of winter. Or when the plumber is finally out, CMC charging you for the hole the plumber leaves behind in the dry wall. I wish we were the only ones with our experience. But in the short time we rented, we went through 4 managers. And they all complained. All of our neighbors would leave 1 by 1 because of some absurd situation CMC put them in. It was so disheartening. Not all of the Mariemont Historic Townhomes are managed by CMC or owned by Richard Booth so take the time to find the other landlords. It’s so apparent that others actually landlord with dignity."
