Winton House

"Winton House can be a great place to live, if you want it to be. My favorite part about living here is the residents. So many of our residents are a close group and look out for one another on a continual basis. Pre-Covid, we have a Common Room to hold parties and dinners and groups. We have a TV room with a small kitchenette. We have a work out room. We even have a sidewalk that goes all the way around the building with benches to rest if necessary. Our Service Coordinator, Kim Schultz even works very hard to keep us motivated and entertained during Covid. I love the landscape in front and behind the building. The grass and the trees are beautiful. The apartments are rented clean and usually maintenance free. If something needs repaired it is done as soon as they are able to get to it. Management is thorough (my opinion, overworked). I gave it a 4 for a couple reasons. Yes, this is a secure building with locked doors. However, many residents do not follow the rules in our lease and they allow others in those locked door. At this point, it becomes NOT SAFE. My deducted star is for mainly one reason... I moved in here in 2015. It is 2021. I was promised by the (former) manager that Winton House, when I moved the building, would be getting cameras 'soon'. It has not happened. Soon, has come and gone. The second reason for only 4 stars is, there are 103 units and only 1 maintenance man. He does the best he can. I feel he definitely needs a helper (again, my opinion). So even with the star count, I don't ever plan on leaving here. It is my home."

"Cynthia Maxberry Winton House Apartments is a great place, first of all the Manager Samuel W. is Awesome if I could give him more stars I would, Nice place to live and people get along so well with one another. Also, I have to mention Chris she is Awesome as well. Great people to work with business wise and just down to earth people love it!"

"If you're a tenant, don't ever have packages sent to your apartment. The people who live here are vandals and won't hesitate to open your mail. A security camera would suffice, but Management doesn't care about the well being of the tenants. He is rude and talks down to you like you aren't an adult paying rent. Also, they do construction whenever they please and without notice, so goodbye sleeping in if you work nights. Would not recommend unless desperate for a place to live."

"I;ve applied twice for an apartment here and i've been put on a never ending waiting list. will i ever be called. i've requested a large or medium size apartment for the last three or four years, and i want to live in this area because my mother is very elderly and ill and she live not far from this site. Can someone please check this availability for me. Management has changed three times and i have put in three applications in the last 4 years. and have heard nothing. please respond..."
