"Brought my kids in for a checkup at the school. I was told one of them needed 6 things done, including a crown. Was told they were going to review the x-rays and confirm treatment plan with the doctor before making an official recommendation. The doctor signed off without even looking in my daughter's mouth. Got a second opinion, and she only needed one filling. From experience in the field, some dentists do additional (unnecessary) work to get insurance $. I think that these recommendations were with that same motive. I'm worried about the dentists that are coming out of this school based on this experience...are they all going to recommend and due unnecessary work to collect insurance $?"
