"Pricing was outrageous. A crummy 90s abstract print was SIXTY DOLLARS. All the items were massively overpriced… a decades old beat up laminate desk was $40, a crackle painted chest of drawers was $230… what happened to this place being financially accessible for those who can’t afford to go anywhere else?!"
"I found a cocoa melon doll here they want 27 dollars for it but at the store they are 16 dollars. I even showed the lady and she said they have money invested in them and said they 27. Like if walmart has em for 16 there is no way they paid 16. That's crazy this place is supposed to be cheaper but your better off going else where. All they're prices have sky rocketed at all the reuse centers. Not worth going at all"
"I’ve been shopping here for years but the prices have gotten insane! It’s actually offensive. For a lot of items they are more expensive than buying them at the actual store or eBay. Target candles 11.99 , at target they are 12.99 . Looked up numerous items and they were cheaper on eBay. I’m sure there is overhead cost but I would be Interested to see what their profits are. I walked around the store for an hour and left with nothing! The prices are a joke."
"In the past Habitat would pick up donated furniture at no cost. Now they use a third party to pick up items and charge the person donating a very high fee to take the items away. They charged me $369 to haul away a sofa, 2 chairs, a rocker and a set of side tables, coffee tables & book shelves. Last time for me. I didn't ask for priority pick up. It was the only option offered to me when I called."
"Habitat for Humanity specializes in used furniture and materials, but this was our first visit. We intended to find something old that we could turn into a DIY garden support trellis. There were items like that here--slatted doors, bed frames, etc.--but not quite anything that would work. Nonetheless, it was a decent store with a good selection of chandeliers, chairs, sinks, cabinets, and more. I wished for more garden or organizational furniture. There were some household items and a good selection of hardware and work tools (hinges, gloves, paint rollers, etc.). We didn't buy much but it was a nice informative visit. There was only one employee at the time but she was very nice and apologized multiple times for taking a while to check us out even though there was a sign posted about being low-staffed, so we expected a wait. This is definitely a good store to check out if you like DIY projects or restoring and refreshing items."
