"I'm currently checked in. I love my room. Very clean and more. The reason for the 3 stars is because I was accused of smoking Marijuana in my room. 1st off I'm allergic to Marijuana When I was a teen I tried it and almost died because is closed my airway. Upon checking in and going to my room on the 3rd floor I smelled Marijuana from the elevator down the hall. I was so upset from being accused of smoking that my blood pressure rose so high I started shaking. My mom came to visit me and they saw she had swisher sticking out her purse and automatically assumed we was smoking. My mom or nobody that know me smoke around me because they know im allergic and have chronic asthma. I'm owed a apology from management. I'm still checked in until Monday morning and I would like someone to come apologize."
"I was grossed out about my entire experience. No disclosure about the hotel being under renovation. The smells throughout the entire hotel were horrid including in the room, clutter of mess everywhere. Construction trip hazards. Walkways were unsalted (icy) as well was misinformed during the booking process and upcharged once I arrived. I would not at all recommend this place at all. To say the least I’ve stayed at budget motels and have had better experiences for much cheaper. Over $230 for a single night stay under those conditions is horrendous!!!"
"I really don't go out of my way to complain but we had a very poor experience here. First of all, I avoided booking our usual hotel for the holidays in the same area because they had specified that they were under renovations; so I picked somewhere else that said they were not currently under construction. I made a reservation for a room for 2 adults and 1 child that had a king bed and a sofa pullout. We arrive at Extended Stay America and the location is under construction... After a lengthy check-in and had to put down an additional (and currently not yet refunded) $108 deposit on the dilapidated hotel. We get into the room where there was a single king bed and one reclining chair. I can't reasonably expect the child to sleep in the chair for the entire weekend so I go back down the front desk and request another room with a sofa bed (my actual reservation) I'm told by WILLIAM STEWART that " We are under construction" multiple times after I request a room with and extra bed or at least a cot/fold up bed to use. Once again I'm told "We are under construction" Okay, yeah, I heard you.. I then go upstairs to explain to my family they weren't willing to give us the room I reserved and that our 12 yo child would be sleeping in the recliner for the weekend. Then my kid request a couple bottles of water. I go back downstairs and ask for that. William Stewart then tells me that will be 3 DOLLARS. At this point I'm actually livid after not getting the room I reserved for my family. The next day I request a different room so that everyone can sleep more comfortably. The lady on the morning shift is pleasant and said to check back later. We go out for the day and come back to ask again about the room. A new staff member is at the desk talking with us and William Stewart is just getting in for his shift. She tells me she looked for another room and she could get me a twin bed room (which would've been fine but I would have had to pay more money) I said I was unwilling to pay more money after the experience so far but I thanked her for AT LEAST TRYING to help (in front of William Stewart) The look on his face was emotionless. He did not care. He was unaccommodating and thoughtless. On top of everything half of the power outlets in the room didn't work, the shower had mold all over the grout and not a single ice maker in the building wasn't working. I will tell you right now. I will not be returning to this hotel or spending a dime with Extended Stay America again. William Stewart could really use a lesson in compassion and customer service. He just didn't care."
"The one positive from this stay was that I was able to check in earlier than normal. I called and the front desk person was friendly and helpful and found a room for us to check into, since we arrived earlier than expected. The negatives The hotel is under construction and there was considerable construction noise. This was not stated on their webpage prior to booking our stay. Was only notified when i was checking in for our stay. The hotel smelled strongly of marijuana in the hallways We had a noisy neighbor who was playing music loudly at 11pm and I called the front desk to ask them to have them turn down their music. Nothing changed, so i called two more times. At midnight, I went down to the front desk in person, b/c the music was still going and the people were screaming. I told the front desk i would call the police, but they said they would go up and knock on the door. They gave us a new room down the hall away. Finally was able to move everything into my new room at 1:30am. At 0800 the next morning i was awoken by loud construction noise. The construction noise continued throughout the rest of our stay. Additionally, there was a lot of noise from other guests in the hallways in the late evenings throughout the rest of the stay. The last morning of our stay, marijuana smell came though our vents, and was a very strong smell in our room. Strong enough to cause us headaches once we woke up. I appreciate the new room, but I think they should have forced the other people to move their room, and taken care of the noise after the first or second call, not after i had to come down in person to complain. I stayed in this hotel when it was a different brand, and they were using pictures from those rooms. The couch is now a smaller pull out couch."
"I felt mislead, when making reservations the site said brand new hotel! The hotel was very dirty, dusty, carpet coming up in hallways. Front desk seems as they need additional training, tried over charging rates on reservation, staff gave wrong hours for breakfast then stated you wouldn’t have wanted it anyway it was just cereal and cold eggs. The room floor was so dirty and gritty when wiping feet off on towels they were dark brown. Ask for mop they gave a swiffer and only 1 pad. The mattresses were very old and bedding thin and cheap. Windows were leaking and rain coming into room. I definitely won’t be staying again nor do I recommend"
