"Issues that made it 3 stars -coffee machine was missing a part - the part where you added the coffee so I couldn’t make coffee in the morning. -guest services would not pick up the phone, so I wasn’t able to request a late checkout -the bed had a filthy smell, like BO that hasn’t been cleaned - this is the aspect that made it most unpleasant to stay in. -room was unbearably dark, ok for sleeping in but not a hotel room you can lounge or work in… no ceiling lights in the main section, and even the light in the entrance had no switch to turn it on -fire alarm went off in morning and woke me up"

"I had a wonderful stay. The building and the rooms are charming. My room was clean and comfortable and I had a great view of downtown and could see down to the river. The 2nd floor Bistro is a great space to hang out and really nice to have breakfast and dinner options so I didn't have to go out in the cold rainy weather. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I stayed here for two nights during a business trip and will definitely stay here next time. It is a great location and easy commute from the airport."

"I would not recommend this place. Especially if you’re arriving later in the day. The room smelled terribly, the fan/vent was very loud, I had to turn it off and therefore was cold at night as it’s December. Luckily it’s been unusually mild. I was told the bistro would be open till 10, only to find out it closed at 8. Victoria was lovely and did offer to switch rooms but I was so tired I didn’t want to be bothered as there’s nothing worse than a long road trip and your room is less than satisfactory. The gentleman in the morning didn’t even ask me how my stay was. The location is ok, depending on what you’re looking for. Views were ok. I would do self park next door at the Westin, it was $17 overnight. The Starbucks across the street was closed. The location is central downtown but the hotel doesn’t have much of a view. Room was very spacious, bedsheets were stinky."

"The building is old and loud. There is a constant humming from a vent in the bathroom. Housekeeping is sketchy at best. The last day I could tell housekeeping was in the room because used towels were gone, but the bed wasn't made. Empty soap was never refilled. There were multiple issues in my group with room keys not working and batteries dying on room key pads. The gym was nice and showed interesting history of the building. This location does not feel like a Marriott based on maintenance. I won't stay here again."
