"This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star! My dog was staying with a “family” member. The family member drastically changed living situations and it resulted in my dog being under immense stress! He bit a puppy over food, and the family member turned him in here! They called me, since he’s microchipped to me, and told me I had until Monday to go reclaim him. I found an adopter for him, and then they called me the following morning saying I COULDN’T go get him and he was set to be euthanized!! This was his FIRST OFFENSE! And it was just another dog! Not a person!! They are now refusing to release him to ANYONE!! I can’t even get him transferred! They are a KILL shelter and absolutely inhumane!! This dog is such a good boy who just developed food aggression! If you know anything about dogs, you know food aggression can be rehabbed! But no!! They refuse to give me or the family my dog! And are not even allowing me to see him! This place is an absolute disgrace! This is not a dangerous dog! I will NEVER support another fundraiser for this place!! SINCE I CAN'T RESPOND ILL PUT IT HERE!! Duke was put into a VERY HIGH stress living situation with the person who had him! He has NEVER shown aggression to a single person!! You had his fate sealed the second he was surrendered!! You didn't even give him a chance!! You didn't even do an eval on him!! Based on the DOZENS of other complaints, it's clear your shelter is inhumane and pivots on euthanasia every chance it can! SHAME ON YOU! You don't represent animals and you deserve to be SHUT DOWN!"
"We adopted a beautiful 11 week old German Shepard puppy. The process was very smooth and easy and the staff was exceptional. They provided a friendly adoption experience and ultimately a great impression!"
"Adopted my dog from here. She is an awesome pup!! (Now 7 months) and spoiled! Very easy to process paperwork etc. workers were very nice."
"About a month ago, a friendly little cat started coming to our door for food. We assumed he was a lost pet. We posted on apps and contacted FWACC. I checked the website before calling, and the shelter had over 120 cats at the time. So we offered to keep the cat in our garage while we searched for his family. He didn’t have one. We named him Pat. The FWACC team was extremely kind and helped us get him started in the community cat program. They neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and clipped his ear. They offered us a shelter to place outside complete with straw. All so Pat could live his best life outdoors without contributing to the stray cat population. These people are saints. The work they do for our communities is invisible sometimes. But through this process, I got a front row seat. I was genuinely touched by the best of humanity this last month. Tonight, we released Pat (the cat) back into the “wild”. And we are so grateful for the team at FWACC for caring for the strays and orphans. ❤️"
"Our kitten ended up lost last Thursday. FWACC was able to pick her up. She stayed there until Tuesday. Thanks to FWACC kindness and quick action they were able to find that she had a fracture, and we were able to get her into our vet for the next treatment action. This whole team is awesome. Huge shout out to Kelsey(I believe is her name), who was very helpful during the whole process : )"
