"Supposed to do tele med get a message an hour before my set time, saying it's in office... I call about that say it is still telemed.i told them I never received a link they said it would be texted. Never got a text called back was put on hold then told the care provider would call or text me. My scheduled time was nearly 2 hours ago, and no one has contacted me yet. I wouldn't not recommend this place for anyone who is paying for their own care. I'm also extremely suspect as to the leve of care they can provide considering this was literally my first time I was supposed to work with this care provider."
"I have had nothing but positive experiences with Portage Path. I have many years experience dealing with different behavioral health specialists at all levels, and Portage Path has been excellent. I currently work with Wendy Barnett and she is absolutely awesome."
"This company is awful. I made an appointment with them, and for some reason After making the appointment they kept calling and calling. I’m a busy person so I would miss their calls, and I would call back but my calls always went to voicemail. A couple days before my appointment with them, they called the police and told them I was being unresponsive. So I called them 3 times in front of the police to show them that each time it went to voicemail. The police called them and they had trouble getting to them as well, and they were even hung up on at one point. Eventually the police gave me the portage paths support number and told me to call that number instead. So after they left I called the number to see why they kept calling me, I wanted to see what was so important to tell me that they had to call the police 2 days before my appointment with them. The lady on the other end told me that I called the wrong number for what I wanted to know, and she gave me the same exact number I have been calling this entire time. So I tried calling them one last time, and unsurprisingly I was sent to voicemail. That was a traumatic day, as I have childhood trauma from the police coming to my home a lot and that triggered my trauma. This experience had made me learn that I need to help myself on my own, and I can’t trust outside sources anymore. Stay away from this horrible place."
"OMG!! Run away. I have never been in such a predicament. I got passed around like an orphan being trafficked. They asked me if I felt suicidal, of course I said “No”. However, as I was leaving after my “15 minutes” I was considering it for the first time in my life. I have had appointments that were only to schedule another appointment after waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes. Forget about telling me you’re “Sorry”, it carries no weight. Thank G-d I got out before it was too late for me."
"The most terrible “medical” service I have ever received. I had been trying to contact them for over a week to obtain a refill on my medications, which they pushed for me to be on at the maximum dosages. I never received a call back, and my pharmacy was unable to reach them. When I was able to make it to the office in spite of my busy work schedule, they were closed. I finally was able to reach them and they claimed that my case was closed in September and I would have to begin the process as a new patient all over again before I could even get a lower dosage so that I could properly wean off of the multiple medications. Mind you, I’m attempting to explain how severe my withdrawal symptoms have gotten, and the lady wouldn’t hardly allow me to get it out and continued to talk over me. Regardless, I had an appointment scheduled at the end of October and one on November first of 2022, so please tell me how could my case be closed as of September?? I attempted to ask more questions at which point the female worker became frustrated and just transferred me to admissions, which had NOTHING to do with the conversation. The fact that they refuse to assist me in even weaning off the medications properly is completely unacceptable. I have already begun the process of contacting negligence attorneys and have filed an official complaint with the joint commission of Ohio. I will file a grievance with the department of mental health services as well. I will do whatever is deemed necessary to ensure that my voice is heard and that no one else will have to suffer as I have."
