"Pay attention to the reviews that speak of poor communication! It is impossible to speak to the office directly. Every call goes through a call center that is not local. We are at the blood lab and the clinic didn't provide all required information (missing diagnosis codes). We've spent an hour trying to reach the clinic to get information. Nobody can provide the info. Such a disrespectful waste of our time! Also, while the staff is kind and friendly, none are within healthy weight. It's difficult to trust health advice from those who obviously don't follow it. Bottom line, after one visit we're done. Too bad. It's a great concept that doesn't work well in reality."

"I called early on a Monday morning to speak with my doctor because I was positive for Covid. The triage nurse on the appointment line (I couldn’t speak directly to the office) told me that the office would call me back within a few hours and that she would advise that I be prescribed Paxlovid due to my concomitant health conditions. I didn’t get a call back so I called again after lunch and was told that the doctor was busy but would call shortly. The office closed with no return call to me. The next afternoon, about 30 hours after my initial call, I was contacted and told that the doctor was ordering the meds. I had already gotten the meds from a telehealth visit with another provider. This office makes big promises about their concern for senior health, but they sure didn’t deliver to me. Since then, I was contacted to schedule a follow up visit. I told the agent about the experience above and that I wouldn’t be scheduling anything there. Since that call, I’ve received at least 5 more calls to schedule. Sad way to treat anyone but especially seniors who are in need of medical care."

"I was introduced to Oak Street when a representative from the office put fliers for Valentine's gift bag for Medicare pt's at my apartment bldg. I called to inquire. The rep.told me that they specifically cater to Medicare pt's and explained a little of the Oak Street Health Center. He even connected me with a Medicare advisor advocate, who came out to my apartment to help me switch to a more comprehensive Medicare plan since the one I had doesn't carry to Akron . As someone who has worked in the medical field, I was genuinely impressed with all the staff i encountered- in person and via phone. My first appointment experience was incredible! Very clean, very efficient running office! Dr. Odukoya & his explanation of his whole pt. approach to medical care just makes good sense. Extremely reassuring to have this "Medical Team " involved in my health care. So far I am very glad of my decision to go with Oak Street Health Center for my new medical office."
