"Great service and very authentic Japanese food. This is a very homey and cozy experience. This is the first time I've had a broth based Japanese dish that I loved. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. However, I wish that they had some light Japanese music playing in the background, as the restaurant is very small and talking at a regular volume can feel loud. I think that this would greatly improve the already good atmosphere. I also wish that they had one or two affordable dinner options. I would like to bring more people here but I think the price point would be a little too high for some people."

"My partner and I have been to Nagomi twice for dinner, and both occasions were exceptional!!! You are guaranteed excellent service, a peaceful atmosphere, and the highest quality Japanese food I’ve ever had in the Cincinnati / NKY area. Seriously, the food is amazingly delicious! Between the two visits, we’ve had the miso soup, seaweed salad, shrimp shumai, pork cutlet (katsu-don) dinner, nabeyaki-udon dinner, yellowtail nigiri, spicy tuna & Philadelphia sushi rolls, and the imagawa-yaki & kushi-dango desserts. Everything is so intentionally prepared & served and made with the best, freshest ingredients. Go check out Nagomi for your next date night or lunch with friends! "Came here randomly and what a surprise! It was closer to their first closing time and we were the ONLY people in the small quiet and quaint joint. The owners are adorable and so kind. Wow I felt like family. All the food was amazing and I cannot wait to come back. By far the best joint around!! If you're passing by you cannot miss this place !"

"This is the best Japanese restaurant in town! The atmosphere and food are authentic. We got the lunch sushi deal which came with miso soup and a salad. Everything was delicious and fresh and the owners are so kind and hospitable!"

"Overall disappointing. First, a few positives: the service was good and the atmosphere is great. They are very attentive to their guests. The main qualm I had with the experience was with the food itself. The price is very high for what you get (we got one order of the Sushi Dinner each, which is $40). The quality of the fish is nothing to rave about. Some were good (i.e., the tuna, eel), but some were definitely not (the scallop, and mackerel). There are high quality omakase options in other cities that are known to be expensive (NYC) that are around the same price point, offer the same quantity, and use much better fish. I appreciate that the restaurant is authentic in the sense that it is owned and operated by a Japanese chef, but I’ve been to many other authentic Japanese restaurants and have had much better sushi. It may be the best in the area, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. Disappointing because we really wanted to love it!"
