Reviews
"Quaint downtown sushi restaurant with smaller storefront and good location. Service was average and food was pretty good. Worth a stop if you are looking for sushi but be careful of the parking situation as it can be confusing and difficult."
"Very friendly staffs. The pork dumpling soup with noodle feels good in a cold day but not really that authentic."
"Service was great. Everything was good except for the ramen. I should’ve looked at reviews for the ramen before ordering it since I was expecting ramen one could get from a Japanese restaurant. While nothing was wrong with it flavor-wise, I wish the menu would have detailed more that it wasn’t regular ramen. Instead, it felt like an afterthought that they had to include ramen on the menu. Sushi was great and so were the tempura veggies, but the ramen was something one can make at home."
"I can't speak about any other entree since I only had the ramen. But saying that the ramen shown in the photo was authentic or culinary level Japanese ramen would be a disgrace on the entire culture. I've lived in New York about my entire life and I've been to Japan and on many occasions had ramen there. None of the ramen was similar to whatever was free styled here. Not only did the ramen took about 20 minutes to be prepared for something I could make in my kitchen any day of the week in 10 minutes. To be fair, I should've known from the fact that Char Siu was not part of the ingredients for any of the ramen on the menu. I was not impressed by the food."
"Maki Mono was a good experience. If you're looking for tasty sushi in a quiet atmosphere, this is the place for you. The service was exceptional, and the rolls were good."
